Not everything, but they do help.
And I think people overestimate just how much 'glass cannons' Naruto characters are. Kakashi has taken some major hits, like Kakuzu kicking him through a tree and leaving a furrow through a bunch of earth, or being hit by Kakuzu's explosion which messed up his outfit. He didn't have to spend time in the hospital after that fight.
Sasuke in the battle at the valley of the end took a hit strong enough to drive him into the cliffside and it didn't cause significant damage.
Genin Sasuke one-shotted a gigantic bear with a kick, Killerbee can flat-out ignore S-class Sasuke's kicks without his shroud.
S-class Naruto characters can be pretty tough bricks.

Stronger maybe, but they tend to be travel-slower. Places like Ennes Lobby and Marineford and Impel Down take awhile for OP characters to travel across, when Naruto characters travel bigger distances quite fast, like it taking very little time for Pain and Naruto to travel so far from Konoha that the mini-moon jutsu didn't grab up the town, or Naruto & Bee traveling across much of a country in one night.

I see your point. I just have no frame of reference yet. They are stronger than they are given credit for. Tsunade could crush an entire wall with one fist pound, and yet Oro takes multiple punches and gets back up.

Yea, but with body flickers and the like their combat speed isn't bad either, and in the cases where someone has strong range, simple travel speed can allow someone to avoid ranges where a high burst speed would matter and win from a distance.

I meant "isn't bad" by their standards, especially when talking about Naruto's fastest people.
And as for "on the whole," there is the 'faster travel speed' thing. If you can't get to hand to hand, then high hand to hand speed is hardly decisive.
Except that most Naruto characters fight at reasonably close range or hand to hand. If they just run away all the time, how can they fight? They have to be pretty close to do it, at which point the faster characters can just blitz them.
Besides which, I don't agree that they have faster travel speed anyway. Bleachers can essentially teleport miles in a single step and One Piece characters can move so fast they're invisible even to other characters with high speed.
Those characters are considered exceptional even by Hokage-level people and Minato and Tobi are the only ones who can port, whereas all Bleachers can flashstep. I said that Naruto is slower on the whole. IIRC Nemebro has said that Nagato is now really fast, but he's still the exception above even fast characters like Bee and Naruto.

^ Like I've said, i can't debate One piece since I don't know their feats. I just simply stated the things you pointed out in OP can be found in Naruto as well. I mean the ones I mentioned aren't the only speedsters. Itachi, A (third fastest person in manga), Gai, and sasuke are all pretty quick as well.
Well to give you an idea, heres one of my favourite feats:
Luffy punches so fast that he appears to literally have multiple arms on the screen even in slowmo. That occurs about half-way through One Piece and that incarnation of Luffy has since been outclassed in speed by the most powerful characters.
Unless you mean pure travel speed, in which case in the first 30 chapters theres a character who can run around completely invisible due to sheer speed.
