Nah, it already has them. I hope Kishi had a lot of fun writing for the movie. I'd be fine with a lot of the alternate characters having some fun side stories. And they are pretty generic, though her dad is strangely Naruto esque.

I can see a group of people losing it at the loss of a character. Imagine if you were a hardcore Byakuya fan, you hated Kenpahchi, and you've grown sick of Bleach sucking. The last chapter would feel like a smack to the face. I don't think anyone here fits all three of those categories but it's not inconceivable.
I mean, I can show you posters here losing their minds when Gin died if you want.

I'd understand it if it were Rukia, or heck, even Urahara, that had been killed off. Not Byakuya though, who last had a meaningful impact on the story when he fought the Idiot-Espada who tried to control his sister. Hating Kenpachi should have nothing to do with it. Dude's BAMF factor is the only reason he can be kept alive, as he's useless otherwise.
As it is, Byakuya was beaten in a pretty shocking way and then taken out with his own weaopon which he tried to keep resisting. He wasn't beaten through shitty PIS like the majority of major Bleach characters.
I remember people here raging over Gin getting pwned by Aizen in a moment of shitty PIS. I might have raged myself.
Don't remember them losing their minds. Certainly don't remember them wanting revenge on Kubo for killing Gin.

Well you see, Byakuya is tied to a much simpler, better time. He was one of the most prominent characters of the Rescue Rukia arc and his battle with Ichigo remains the most loved(that I know of). He hasn't done...well much of anything of consequence in recent years(cept killing Tsukishima but people don't like to talk about that arc) but he didn't really have to. Think of it like Kubo killing off a memory of when Bleach was really good.

He was the primary representation of the antagonism SS posed to Ichigo, yes, but killing off Byakuya does not somehow invalidate the events of the Rescue Rukia arc. His final words hearken back to that arc. If we really saw his death, it was a good one.
Still, I can see incredibly fanatic Byakuya fans losing their shit over his death, if only because he means the world to them, so meh.
