the hyuuga plot in RLSY should be the level of importance the uchiha plot is handled in the main manga: a side story. the manga would be grounded a lot more and would keep some of the original style of part I

it wasn't even original, this fodder did it already:

it was done earlier than that during the Pein invasion... and even earlier if you count the INoShikaCho strategy.

The Pein invasion had a cement strategy? And how did the InoShikaCho do one?

not cement specifically, but during the Pein invasion there was something like a giant clay oven. InoShikaCho is just another example of ninjas using combo strategy attacks.

^ If that's the case, then Naruto & Sasuke were the originators, and every single 'combo-strategy attack' henceforth has been a copy. facepalm

what's the Naruto/Sasuke example?

The trick they pulled on Zabuza.

Which is still my favorite trick in all of Naruto because it's the one that got me hooked on the series. Makes me think the ones who beat Madara and the Juubi will be Sasuke and Naruto tag teaming it up because they were one kick ass duo.

ahhh, that one! yeah, that was good teamwork, though not really the same thing as combining jutsu for one attack.

Aura knows what I was talking about.

What makes it better than pretty much every other 'combo-strat' is that those two supposedly hated each other, and yet Naruto was the one who thought it up, and Sasuke instantly knew what he had in mind, but that's neither here nor there.

EDIT:

It is technically. That incident involved the Shadow Clone Jutsu, the Transformation jutsu, and the Shadow Shuriken Technique.

fair enough.

So, we all agree that every single tactician in Naruto, including Naruto himself, are just copying Naruto?

that was better than most of the war arc imo

never

konan wins btw. almost offed the "final villain", asspull saved him

What a crybaby.

And Konan's plan was actually poorly thought out. The suicide plan should have been the backup, not the huge one. Because at least then there is a chance she could still keep the info from him for quite a while.

who's crying?

Konan's plan relied on an asspull itself that had no foreshadowing though.

"YOU CAN ONLY GO INTANGIBLE FOR FIVE MINUTES!"

I myself was wondering why he didn't just teleport away.

The fight itself was merely to establish the timelimit, so that isn't really a criticism imo.

It had no foreshadowing whatsoever.

Let's compare Tobi using Izanagi. This is a power already established by Danzo. Why is Tobi's useage of it an asspull?

It isn't, but by your logic Danzo using it would be an asspull. There was no foreshadowing for it.

Like with Danzo, the timelimit was established so that it wouldn't be an asspull when the shinobi alliance says to exploit Tobi's weakness in this chapter.
