Talk No Jutsu overload. This arc is honestly one of the worst in HST with its only saving grace being Madara, who Kishimoto seems to have forgotten about. Fcking Kishi man.

irrelevant ass chapter.

didn't even read it.

Really now?

There's talking, but it's relevant talking, and not badly written. The fighting has been no-where *near* as bad as Bleach's no-sell mania, and everything has more point than Hodi Jones.

Yes, it's slow, but Naruto always slows down at the big events (See: Valley of the End), and there's stuff happening in it that matters.

This is no-where near the worst arc in the HST, not even remotely close. Nor would I even say it's a bad arc at all. It is an arc that will certainly read better once it's finished and not being dribbled out bit by bit. There's more to an arc than flashy fighting and revelations of abilities, and one shouldn't confuse 'not going how you'd like to see it' with poorly done.

This arc is getting dragged on for way too long. It's been 2 years since Obito was revealed to be the Tobi. And pretty much everyone was kind of expecting Naruto to successfully give the Talk No Jutsu, so I was thinking that Kishimoto would pull off something not so predictable, but nope. That just disappointed the hell out of me when I read it, even more-so than the whole thing with Nagato during Pein's invasion.

Like it or not, Obito was a bad villain who was only motivated to follow Madara's plans because of his childhood crush dying. I'm just glad Madara's still here to show why he was known as a Shinobi God.

BLEACH is the best out of the three at the moment imo. Sales don't mean anything, honestly. Dragon Ball and One Piece are the top 2 manga of all time in terms of sales, but they're not nearly as good as, say, Berserk.

The Bount arc was my least favorite.

Most fillers are terrible anyway. But Thousand-Year Blood War >>

Nobody mentioned sales.

This was a decent chapter. Even retreading the old ground there are things about this one that make it stick out for me.

agreed, Auraangel. for a talking chapter, it was actually pretty good. though I really hope they don't just shrug under the rug everything Obito has done if he does accept Naruto's hand.

madara is our only hope

Personally I thought this was a great chapter. We all knew Obito would be on the receiving end of a Talk no jutsu, but this was handled very well imo. Two characters just discussing their views and opinions and Naruto acting like a mature young man.

Its a boon to Obito's character imo, it nicely fleshed out his perspective and motives and highlighted how far he had fallen.

^ I'm still bored as hell. Just waiting for it to be over now.

Also considering all the protection the fodder are getting as of late, I'm starting to wonder exactly how these guys let Neji die. I mean Naruto wasn't guilt-tripped into getting with Hinata so doesn't that mean he kind of died in vain.

And where is Madara? I mean he's not even trying to satisfy his Hashirama boner anymore.

The Rin and Obito backstory took 5 pages and that's already better than anything involving Sasuke and Sakura or Naruto and Hinata. So that saved the chapter from being completely terrible.

Really hoping Obito gets the insane-Itachi face, tells Naruto to **** off, and then gets disintegrated by rasengan to the face.

hmm

Not even necessarily out of spite for how lame and uninspired of a character Obito is. Rather, I just think that it would be fitting for the final big bad of the series to not buy into Naruto's bullshit and require a good ol' ass kicking.

I suppose there is still Madara, Orochimaru and maybe even Sasuke left to fill that role, though.

I found Obito quite interesting before we found out how pitiful his predicament was and how convoluted his resolve is. The same applied to Kabuto.

Madara, albeit somewhat generic, is still quite decent though. But the best villain currently has to be Orochimaru.

Personally I'd rather have a chapter just dedicated to talking than a chapter that tries to mix in both talking with few bits of action. Less of a tease.

But this kinda internal conversation thing has happened before in the manga. Nothing new.

No one's saying that conversations necessarily have to be bad, what they're pointing out is that the dialogue is bad.

I was okay with the talking. However, Rin...so damn cute. Too bad she's like...12 or something stupid. Wish Kishimoto would have allowed her to grow up. Much better support/healer than Sakura (not in terms of skill but in terms of her being a good character).

I don't see why that particularly matters.
