Thinking about it, it is similar to Obito being Madara. We knew and predicted that a loooong time ago and it eventually became true.
Same with this Kaguya stuff. It's an obvious plot point.

No. Madara indicated it could penetrate all over the world and even in houses (he said "shadow"😉. So it not only penetrates the entire earth, closing your eyes will do not good.
The only way to be immune from it is to have a rinnigan and a complete Susano'o, apparently. That's what Sasuke had and that's why they are the only ones unaffected.

Yup, people call it the golden byakugan theory and black Zetsu has it as well. That theory has been around since 2007 and it seems like it could be true. lmao
I also think that Kaguya's presence saved Madara after his fight with Hashirama(like her son did with Naruto and Sasuke) and that is who he sensed here.
Hashirama said that he was sure he killed Madara and its never explained how he survived.
