NAruto is a complete Mary Sue, he easily surpasses all the other characters with barely any effort. Creating a title character who can easily learn any skill and surpass anything no matter what the circumstances is pretty much the definition of an overpowered character. People complain about Kishi writing Sasuke as beating whoever he faces but Naruto is at a completely different level. Writing him as easily surpassing things that people spent their lives on takes away unduly overpowers him and also makes the supporting characters useless. It's like the DB syndrom where the main characters get continually enhanced and the others are reduced to cheerleaders or killed off to create false drama.

Yeah and you will still continue reading the manga. This is the basic plot of all manga's. I don't know why peopel are so suprised that the main character gets to shine in series named after him. This happens in mostly every action manga. Same could be said about the Slam Dunk manga series.
I wouldn't say hes a genius. He just has that "work until you sweat blood" mentality. That coupled with his massive chakra enables him to surpass people like kakashi even though he will never have that type of ninja prowess. Him being a genius is far fetched considering hes been considered a loser his whole life. As far as the fight goes, lets not get ahead of ourselves on Naruto just flat out breaking pein. This is Naruto where talking about, He showed up all tough against kakuza and almost had his heart removed. Also what exactly has Naruto done to be overpowered, Hes slow, bull headed , has really no hand seal jutsus. Every fight hes won has only been by the skin of his teeth and even that was coupled with the fact that he acts so stupid most enemies underestimate him. I am actually looking forward to an actual bad ass naruto for a change.

Pretty much agreed. I don't have a problem with strength progress but damn make it reasonable. Outdoing your master who is a legend (and had decades of experience) in a week is just bullshit. Its worse than the Toriyama Goku wank. At least he used things that had been long established like the time chamber or the near death power boost and Goku at least kept some peers not to mention he actually lost fair and square sometimes. As far as I'm concerned all of this could be blown out of proportion though if it turns out he isn't stronger than Jiraya and everyone else on the planet yet.

No, not really.
We saw Naruto training and earning almost everyone of his "boosts". Sasuke was given almost every single one. His cursed seal, his Sharingan, and his Sharingan power boosts from Itachi. Wereas Naruto almost worked himself to death to earn every technique that he spammed like a mad man once learned.

Naruto didn't "easily" suprass anyone. Why can't Naruto learn shit as fast as Itachi or Kakashi? You do realize that Itachi was one of those absurdly "surpass everyone" types, don't you? So was Kakashi. So was Minato.
Naruto is Minato's son. Is he not allowed ANY natural talent?

He learned to use sage chakra so fast because of it, when he went to train with the frog guy I'm sure every one knew he was going to get a lot stronger in a short space of time thanks to his clones. One week was probably equal to a years training by any normal person.

Well, he was able to only use one(or was it two?) clone at a time because of the risk of turning into a Toad.
Still, that doubled the amount of training for him.
Naruto didn't discover this way of training until recently.
Naruto also has a huge amount of Chakra thanks to his genetics (Minato had a massive load of Chakra, too.) and the Kyuubi.
So, just like Kakashi said, Naruto is the only one who can do that training.
I'd be willing to bet that Minato had more than enough chakra to do the shadow clone technique, but didn't really know or think about it.

Naruto hasn't been lucky. Not lucky at all. He is literally a fighting genius as said by Kakashi. That can't be denied. Naruto won those fights through pure effort and intelligence. He's earned everyone of his victories through very hard work. He didn't have something like the Sharingan handed to him.(This is pretty much the only thing that needs to be addressed.)

Naruto, in a flash, destroyed one body, it didn't move out of the way even though the other Pein's cold clearly see ahead of them, and the Pein's did nothing to stop it. Shouldn't the same rules apply to Naruto as it did Jiraiya? Either Naruto's speed is significantly greater for even the extra eyes to help each other dodge, or it was PIS.

Do you remember Jiraiya not getting one single hit in? It's beause the Pein's are all linked together. The other Peins were looking in the same direction as the attacking Pein. The should have clearly seen Naruto attacking from what looks like the front or the front and slightly to the side.
