Yondy died and had to seal it in his son, Shody(ROFL) beat it and Madara. With his own powa.
@Kandy - But if it's just a normal summon like Gamabunta or Enma or whatever why would it be considered something he created? Though that would make the most sense.

Yondaime had died facing some Fuma guy, and he met the Shinigami. So he took it out for Soba in the underworld. Charmed, the Shinigami brought him back to life. They became good friends, eventually starting a passionate relationship with each other. The Shinigami let Minato summon him whenever he wished, with no cost.
However, things took a dark turn. Yondaime began claiming to his friends that he had 'created' the jutsu that summoned the Death God, and showed them how to perform the technique. Emotionally hurt by this betrayal, the next time Minato summoned him, the Shinigami killed him. Then he sent threatening phone calls to everyone he had blabbed to and killed them at the end of the week. Until he met the third, who gave him a heartfelt motivational speech, and they went to group therapy together. But the Shinigami vowed that he would never be taken advantage again like that, and since then whoever has summoned him is killed.
