My fav of the big three, by a margin, and the ending lives up to that.

And hey, upcoming side-stories!

Joking aside this was a nice ending. And Kishimoto even brought back technology as a theme.

I dunno if theme means what you think it means, man. mmm

So was kishi playing with us having it unspecified who the mother of Sasuke's daughter is? I thought for sure Sakura but now that you guys mention it the glasses are making me think otherwise. That theory of Sakura being in a Genjutsu made me lol hard

Yeah he's the poor man's sasuke. Makes perfect, horribly depressing sense.

It's Sakura's kid, the forehead & eye shape are Sakura's, though this still makes Sakura look kind of pathetic

Would also like to say that despite the lows...and lows of Naruto story quality, I can say for certain that of the Big 3 it held my interests the most. No matter how crappy it got, Kishimoto still held my interest and I never once thought of not reading it; though I could just have bad taste.

You know what? I'm going ahead to assume this is an intentional parody of idiocy on shoen manga like Evangelion intended to riff mecha tropes. No Professional writer can do this poorly without a traumatic family event or an agenda.

Naruto is an intelligent -if a bit rough- parody of the genre and how it devolves into fan service and overblown power levels.

I felt it was pretty solid. It definitely had some poorly paced areas, and some areas that could be done better, but even the weaker areas I clearly saw what Kishimoto was trying to do. It had an arc and it followed it. It had variety in it's fights and powers, it had characters interesting and varied not just in appearance but in personality.

And I not only rate it much higher in writing quality than Bleach- no big feat- but I found it to have fewer weak arcs than OP.
