Sharingan has pretty much shown to be superior to Byakugan IMHO, pseudo-precog, subtle hypnotism, mimicry of jutsu, add in Mangekyo and it is unarguable.

AHA! It says, and correclty so, that in terms of "insight" it surpasses the Sharingan. That's true and we see that.
Just think of Shikimaru having the Byakugan?
Anyway, yup, that makes sense to me. It has never been contradicted. We can only assume the origns of the Sharingan really do lie with the Byakugan. Unless you can provide evidence, what Kakashi said has to be accepted as correct.
Neme: Sharingan is superior to the Byakugan, on the whole, I definitely agree there.

There's nothing metaphorical about the 2 clans.
The 2 clans came from the Rikudo Sennin.
The elder was envious of his younger brother since Rikudo chose him to be the 1st Hokage.
That envy turned to hatred, hatred which still burns up to this day.
Madara hates the Senju clan, and the way he associated Naruto to the 1st Hokage implied that Narutard was a descendant of Senju clan, and Sasuke a descendant of Uchiha clan. They were fated to fight each other.
Which was pretty obvious anyways.

This is most correct.
Senju clan exists as a metaphor, only. Will of Fire is what makes one part of the Senju clan.
Not so much the Uchiha, clan, though. But, that could change. Oro could qualify as Uchiha as he made war against the people with the Will of Fire.
We'll see what Kishimoto does next chapter.
We do know tha the Senju clan exists now, as a will. A metaphor, if you will.

I was hoping that after this latest arc, we can get back to old school ways such as the Chuunin exams for Naruto.
the senju blood is still floating around somewhere, cause tsunade is the biological granddaughter of the first (and grandniece of the second). why she chooses to ditch the maiden name..who knows, but it doesn't take away the senju dna in her blood.
for example, the CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper is part of the Van Der Bilt (spelling) family, even though he doesn't have the same last name, he's still connected to their legacy.

The first had a son who later became the second Hokage.
The son had a daughter.
That daughter got married.
That daughter got her last name changed to her husband's name. They had kids that had that same surname. One of those kids was tsunade.
However, we don't know Tsunade's last name, do we?
