I think I know what Izanagi is. Its a jutsu where you sacrifice an eye to come back from an injury that would normally be fatal. it would also explain how Madara survived his fight with Shodaime. He sacrificed his left eye to remain alive to survive from killing injuries. and since he might technically have 4 sharingans due to the EMS he might have used that when Sasuke used the implanted Ameterasu on him.

There's an error with that logic, though: the eyes closing are a sign of working towards actually activating of the Isanagi jutsu, not the actual use of it.
Once all of the eyes are closed, the jutsu can be used.

Though I don't see why its such a big deal if it is what I think it is. I certainly if I was at the edge of death would not hesitate to sacrifice one eye in order to live. Seems like a massively good deal. Honestly the sharingan is so broken its not even funny. Any Uchiha before the extermination anyways was sooo freakin lucky

And, after all this having no clue what Danzo was doing... oh wait, it's a technique he already knew about! How did he not get what technique this was. Are there multiple ten eyes-on-arm sharingan techniques in existence that he couldn't figure out which one was which? How hard could it be?

This chapter just made me stop caring about this fight altogether. I tried to stay tuned in but I can't do it. I'll skip over a few chapter to find out the outcome but I just don't care. Is Danzo suppose to be another Orochimaru like figure?(don't answer that!)
First Sasuke has summons out the blue and now has a complete suzanoo?
I'll check out this new Izanagi when it comes up but I just give up for now.
well i think what he was trying to say is that he was not really trying to get out of the attacks, he was just standing there the whole time letting sasuke......wait, i think i know what it is.
ok so each one of the eyes is a "life" in a sense, but more like a...shadow clone? lol, anyway using that technique you can use each one of those "clone lives" and with each one that is killed...does....something.....dangit i was so close too
