Eh, they were probably mostly personal assistants. Oro had Kabuto, Tobi played a similar role, and Sasori had a few of his Sand people, Kakuzu had a lot of underworld contacts, but most don't seem to be the type to have apprentices or minions.

Well, and of course there was the Rain ninja back when Pain and Konan were in.

Well, regardless of whether he knew Tobi or not, how does he know Tobi was his replacement? Was their a chain of command for next in line? And how do they even recognize him with his new mask and stuff?

Maybe he was simply told? No reason not to fill in the deadkatsuki the current situation, especially when Tobi's their top commander.

And I think it's safe to guess that two people with spiral masks in the Akatsuki might be the same person. Especially if they have the same voice.

Actually it's probably the opposite. There would be no reason to fill them in because they'd just do what you want anyway. Kabuto neglected to mention that Sasuke was still alive to Deidara after all. And Tobi wouldn't be the main leader all things considered because it's very likely Kabuto will use them to betray Madara.

One mask is a spiral with one eye hole, the other is a sharingan mask that covers his hair and has his left eye open. That and the new duds are significantly different from what we saw of Tobi in his appearance. As far as the voice goes, the anime suggests that Madara uses a different voice for his Tobi persona.

He is the 'general,' though, in overall command of the war and with command of the Zetsu army that they need to coordinate with.

Eh, I was under the impression that Madara would tell Kabuto what he wanted them to do and then they'd do it. Details on Edo Tensei are very iffy at the moment but I'd assume no one but the summoner could order them, especially since they have their personalities and all.

A very different mask, with a sharingan theme, and none of the Akatsuki knew that he was an Uchiha and probably didn't know that he had a sharingan at all. Deidara would seem more upset about Tobi if that were the case. Not to mention, their leaders eye in the left socket, which would lead to confusing. Sure he hangs with Zetsu, but given his mask and robes, the logical assumption is to guess he is an Uchiha, which Tobi was never known as it seems.

That's great if Madara and Kabuto are in the same location, but what if they want to split up and do different stuff on different fronts? You do want strong live ninja around in case the unexpected happen, and there's only so many of those to go around.

Easy solution to that is to have a Zetsu be with Kabuto. It allows Madara to keep tabs on Kabuto and Kabuto to have a link with Madara, the guy who can travel from point A to point B in a flash if need be.

Where does it say this? I don't doubt you but I don't recall Edo Tensei being elaborated on that much.

Reasonably fast, but not instant, especially if it's two-way, which introduces delay in even simple tasks. Plus it'd be a distraction from whatever Kabuto's doing.

Where does it say this? I don't doubt you but I don't recall Edo Tensei being elaborated on that much.

They can talk and hold conversations. Why wouldn't they be able to?

Zetsu may cause a delay, but Madara wouldn't. There is also Madara's ability to know where someone is at any given moment, an ability he uses all the time. 😆

They can talk and hold conversations, but that has little impact on who they are following. Kabuto just took control over that Mist guy when he refused to help Akatsuki, so what would happen if Madara, a guy with no such control over them, ordered them around? Assuming they retain their will unless Kabuto orders otherwise, they'd have no reason to obey Madara. Unless Kabuto's seal gives Madara partial control over them or something.

only fight i don't care for is sakura vs ino, every other one had some weight, hillarity, awesomeness, etc, but sakura vs ino was wack and boring

I know only the Naruto anime, and it's really great! It's very funny, full of action, and kinda touching, too. The story is long to describe.

Hmm would they be able to kill each other if they didnt want to be controlled no more???
(I thought it was funny when sasori threatned deidara!)

There is one funny thing about Gaara's "We are all shinobi!" speech- the Samurai are there too. There's even one visible in the crowd! 😄

lol Gaara. Ignoring the Samurai.

I didn't care for the Sannin battle because both Jiraiya and Orochimaru were handicapped and Tsunade was cheap shotted a lot and had to use a ton of chakra to heal herself. It wasn't as epic as it could have been since they weren't to their full potential.

I chose most of mine based on who was involved and how much I like how it played out. Did not want to place Naruto vs Sasuke at first but I had to admit it was better than all the other fights I could think of...

Madara could do it and wouldn't mind.
