I want to see Bee fight with Samehada! If he masters it he should be ten times more lethal than Kisame was.

Minato was in a rather poor position all in all- A was covering the various kunai specifically to pounce on them with his lightning blitz, so escape to them would've been chancy.

Minato can travel anywhere there is a kunai. Imagine if he teleported home, cuddled with Kushina a minute or two, and then teleported back to catch Bee off guard. 😮

As long as A kept his eye on all the kunai, he could still charge no matter which one in that area Minato came out of and attack him right after he appears, whether Minato appeared in one second or sixty. It'd also allow A and B to enact other responses or get clear of the kunai entirely.
He'd get to safety but as-is the initiative would've been lost.
I also wonder if there's some limits on the kunai porting range. He didn't port back and forth from the front lines, it seems, he actually deployed conventionally in Kakashi Gaiden, and used porting for shorter range. It might be that he needs a special destination seal (or perhaps more chakra) to go longer distances.

Minato's seal is on Bee himself. 😛
It was never there to begin with. Minato's squad was retreating, he clearly had no ill will towards A, and the only reason he ported to Bee was to get A to calm down. That and to probably get a better feel for Bee's character. If Minato actually wanted to kill them, I don't think he'd have much difficulty.
Well why he didn't port to the front lines can be justified by there not being kunai there. Which fits the character as he doesn't seem to give out those kuinai to just anyone. I suppose it's not unreasonable to assume there is a limit on the porting range.

"Kisame beat an older, experienced Bee who has mastered his Biju, something no one else has done."
*******.

Porting away would be a bad idea, it would be leaving his men to die and the Kumo ninja could simply destroy the seals to prevent him from returning.
Said men had already retreated. And it's not like they can destroy all the seals in an instance. Especially considering how quickly Minato can place them.

Bee was stuck with "I have to protect these guys" syndrome at the time.
Said syndrome only stopped him from transforming into the Hachibi itself, and trying to get them out of the Water Dome; it never stopped him from trying his best to win.
While Kisame was stuck with the "I have to infiltrate Kumogakure to find out master plans for Evil Genius" syndrome, along with "I cannot go overboard and kill this fool or else Evil Genius will kill me" syndrome.
Killer Bee got tooled, easily. Get over it. That doesn't make him any less awesome though. This is the guy that saw through what Minato had planned, pwned Sasuke & A, and made Naruto look impotent.

He put oil on her, which made her paper stick together so presumably she couldn't do the 'fly apart into paper' defense, but that's more hinder than incapacitate. She could still walk around, had both hands for jutsu, etc. etc..Pain was probably right to tag her out, the move showed Jiraiya had a keen grasp of her jutsu and how to target it, but that's all.
And had the fight gone on, he would have beaten her.
Though I suppose in the context of things, it wasn't a victory over Konan.

He does state that Madara's tech was superior to his. So I think Minato would have limits on the distance he could travel.

He kinda lost to Gai.....twice 😄Past that....yeah Kisame is awesome, died an awesome death, and actually phucked over the SA during it's first day by giving away Bee and Naruto's location.
He beat a Kisame w/o Samehada.
Plus Gai had the advantage of using an attack that:
a) would kill nearly anyone if it hit.
b) was not made of chakra.

Kisame had by then adjusted to the second syndrome. And considering the plan to infiltrate Kumo was a simple switching places and hiding gambit, I don't think that would cause too much stress. At least compared to Bee trying to save his master and the raccoon. 😛
Even if that is true, it's not like DBZ where everything can be power scaled. Cause then Guy>Bee, which is simply something I don't believe. Kisame still sucks for depending on a sentient sword that happens to be a chakra whore. Without it, he is pretty strong I suppose...But nothing special. 😛

Except Minato knows how Bee thinks(and respects him for it), so he can prepare to attack without worry really. 😛

Still held him back.
Hey man, infiltrating Kumogakure is much harder than saving a giant raccoon and his master. Especially when Evil Genius doesn't like failure. 😛
Bee depends on the Hachibi, Naruto depends on the Kyuubi, Sasuke depends on the Sharingan. It's all the same, they're 'tools' these guys have mastered to such insane degrees.
Without it, he nearly tanked an attack that Gai claimed would kill if it hit. Without it, he drained most of the chakra that sunglasses guy had. Without it, he reacted to Bee's V2 Lariat. Without it, he beat the previous wielder of Samehada. Without it, he's still a high level Suiton user, and used a jutsu that basically drains the chakra from the opponent's jutsu and thus gets stronger. Afternoon Tiger happened to be Air Pressure, which is why Gai won in the first place. Dude's a beast even without Samehada, though not on the level of Bee obviously.

He seems content with Sasuke's failures. Then again, Sasuke is more important than Kisame. 😛
Hachibi is his friend, Kyuubi reasons that living in Naruto is better than dying, and the Sharingan isn't sentient and can't really abandon Sasuke(makes him blind though). Samehada is just a whore. Makes me feel bad for Kisame in hindsight. Sword you've bonded with years abandons you for a black guy. Life ain't right.
