X3- assumptions

why should she come back? we all saw the adamantium run through her whole face.

in flashbacks, in the wolverine movie, or in a daredevil sequal. see, Yuriko Oyama's dad was a guy named lord darwind (who really resembled Cobra Commander form GI Joe). he invented the adamantium bonding process. deathstrike came into the picture when Daredevil and wolverine were trying to stop darkwind from using this process on bullseye (they failed). That's when she recognized wolverine having been embued with her father's stolen secrets and got a mean hard on to kill him. (this is prior to her cyborg treatment)

My X3 predictions. Give Yours.

Hey, whasup. I've never posted here before... In fact, I've never been here before. Anyway, here are my predictions regarding the basic plot line of the upcoming X-Men movie. I know they're pretty long-winded, but... oh well. Please respond by sharing your predictions and either affirming or discounting the accuracy of others.

I believe X3 will revolve around three main story lines, and will be complemented by the addition of a few new characters:

1st: The most obvious prediction (and one that is generally accepted as an "officially unconfirmed" fact) is that the Phoenix will fulfill an integral role in the third movie.
The "comic book" Phoenix's story was a twisted and confusing one. In the comic, the cosmic force known as the Phoenix possessed the body of Jean Grey when she attempted to save her friends during an epic struggle. The Phoenix spared Jean's life though, and placed her comatose body in a cocoon at the bottom of the sea.
The Phoenix then replicated Jean flawlessly, down to her personality and essence. However, this new Phoenix/pseudo-Jean could not deal with the human emotion that Jean's essence housed, and became hopelessly confused and tortured. This confusion allowed the Hellfire Club to seduce the fake Jean, transforming her into the Dark Phoenix. The X-Men ended up battling with the Dark Phoenix. In the heat of battle, the Phoenix experienced a moment of temporary weakness, and committed suicide, destroying the Jean clone but not the cosmic force.
It then tried to return to the genuine Jean's body, but Jean's mind rejected it. The Phoenix force searched frantically for an acceptable new host, and stumbled upon Madelyne Pryor - yet another Jean clone (though this one was created by the twisted genius super-villain Mr. Sinister in one of his labs).
Dark aspects of Pryor transformed the Phoenix into a "dark" being, and once again the terrible power known as the Dark Phoenix was manifested. She/It went after the real Jean (who had recently come out of the cocoon with a clean bill of health). Needless to say, the Dark Phoenix was vanquished and the real Jean was once again restored to the storyline.
By the way, if any of you are familiar with the famous X-Force character Cable (Nathan Summers), you may be interested to know that he is the offspring of Scott Summers (Cyclops) and the Jean impostor Madelyne Pyror, conceived prior to Cyclops realizing the truth.
That being said, it is EXTREMELY unlikely that the movie will follow this storyline, as it would make the head of any casual moviegoer spin - and possibly explode. I believe she will transform into the force known as the Phoenix while attempting to save her friends trapped in the Blackbird. She will, however, remain in the same body and continue to be the "real" Jean. She will move from a "tremendously powerful dark" (which will occupy the first 3/4ths of the movie) to a "good with much lesser powers" nearing the resolution of the film. Maybe, upon transforming from evil to good she will assist in the destruction of the Sentinels (discussed later).
Perhaps the Hellfire Club or some Hollywood incarnation of the like will be behind her sinister behavior as the Dark Phoenix. Perhaps Magneto will temporarily ally with the X-Men to battle the Phoenix.

2nd: I think Sentinels will play a HUGE roll in the upcoming movie as well.
Once again, here comes some background info, so those that aren't interested in the comic's storyline should skip forward a little bit... In the comics the Sentinels came about as a result of Operation: Zero Tolerance. Operation: Zero Tolerance was introduced in response to the assassination of human presidential candidate Graydon Creed. Notice I described him as "human presidential candidate," this is fascinating due to the fact that he is actually the result of "the union" (crazy mutant sex) of Mystique and Sabertooth - two mutants. In a twisted turn of events, Creed was actually assassinated by his own mother Mystique. For those who don't know (although most do), the standard Prime Sentinels were the massive robots responsible for tracking down and destroying all available mutants.
"Sleeper" Sentinels, a completely different brand of Sentinel, were created of regular humans (the program was involuntary). These beings were cyborged humans, whose cyborg aspects were activated by their creators when their creators wanted the sleepers to become mutant-killing terrors. Unfortunately, the cyborg process could not be reversed.
It's also pretty cool to know that the agency that created the Sleeper Sentinel cyborgs also cyborged the deadly assassin Lady Deathstrike at her request - although she was NOT a Sleeper Sentinel.
The Sentinels were mostly controlled by Master Moid in the comics, who was essentially a giant super-sentinel. Moid will be omitted from the upcoming sequel, as I believe the Sentinels will be designed to operate independently.
I believe that the Sentinels in the upcoming movie will come about as a result of the Mutant Registration Act. This act will exist as a means to capture and catalog ALL mutants so that the general human population would know exactly who was out there and what he/she was capable of; thus resolving the "mutant problem." As you may recall Stryker and other politicians were pushing to get the Act through the Senate and Congress, and the President was preparing to make a speech toward the end of the movie announcing his support of the act (right before Xavier froze the mind of all humans but the Presidents' and effectively halted the broadcast).
However, due to the constraints of creating a world of X-Men using actual human actors and environments I think that the Sentinels will not be quite as massive or glorious as they were in the comics - given that they would have to be CG 99% of the time while assuming that it becomes increasingly more difficult to blend generated images into a live-action background the larger they become. Sleeper Sentinels will not be mentioned, so they won't be a factor, only the giant robot death-machines will be addressed. The Sentinels will most likely fill the rolls of the "major villains" in the upcoming film, with Magneto battling them as well, separate from the X-Men, while continuing with his anti-human agenda at the same time. Remember, the Sentinels would pose no threat to Magneto as a mutant being - he could individually tear them bolt from bolt with just a wave of his hand or a thought, it's the concept of "capture and catalog" that would put a bad taste in his mouth.

3rd: They will delve deeper into Wolverine's past, and he will discover the secrets behind the Weapon X program, his history with Sabertooth, and the origins of his adamantium-covered bones. Expect Lady Deathstrike's character to reappear - not in the present but in bits and pieces as a character recalled in flashbacks.

4th: I believe these three story lines alone will occupy the entirety of the third movie, and I believe that Hank McCoy (Beast) and Remy Lebeau (Gambit) will appear as supplemental characters (much the same way that Nightcrawler did in the sequel to the first). Beast will be in his pre-transformed state; therefore, he will not be CG. He will serve as more of an intellectual influence as opposed to a physical force. Colossus will also have a much improved role, as his strength, physical prowess, and virtual invulnerability to projectile attacks would be an asset when battling the Sentinels. It also seems likely that Psylocke will, at the very LEAST, be featured in a cameo. Her personality and stylish flair seem like something that would appeal to the makers of the film, given the kind of characters they've chosen to appear in the previous two movies.

So, there you go. -whew-

WOW, thats one hell of a first post!!!! Welcome MATEY!!!

ScottLover the reason why people ask if she comes back is because she has a contract for one more movie. And why should she come back because she can kick ass.

😱 welcome Psylocke34bsy!!!!!

X3 needs one thing......more colossus. He is definateely the most underrated X-Men character out there.

aren't u from the x3 board at counting down.com

yo old schooler, do you think the deathstrike flashbacks will mention bullseye in any way? sorry, daredevil is my fave and I hope that kelly hu may appear as pre-deathstryke yuriko in the wolverine movie or in a daredevil sequal. also, does anyone hope for an appearance by frighting/underrated wolverine foe Cyber? Just the fact that wolverine is terrified of him makes it that muchmore cool

for those who don't know (he is kind of obscure)-
Cyber
Real Name: Unknown (last name possibly Logan?)
Aliases: Silas Burr, Dog?
Mutant Power:Can track any mutant by his or her brain waves
Other Powers: Other than his lower face, all of Cyber's skin has been plated with adamantium. he has a two sets of claws in his fingers. one hand's are tipped with a hallucinagen, the other's with poison. One of his eyes is cybernetic after wolverine cut it out. age regression, low grade healing factor?
ProffessionπŸ˜„rug Runner, terrorist, Mercinary, former WWI Army Seargent.
Things he's done to wolverine: beat him to near death at each of their encounters, drugged him, ripped out his eye, snapped off a set of his bone claws with his foot.
All that's known about Cyber is that he was once Wolverine's seargent and that after some despute they became enemies. its possible cyber got his enhancements through the weapon plus program possible as a counter to omega red.other than that not much is known about him. there is an enormous amount of circumstantial evidence that points to him actually being Wolverine's step-brother dog, but that has not been confirmed. He was killed by genesis who used beetles to eat away his flesh and then attempted to bond his adamantium skin to wolvie's bones.
