Allor smirked. She liked this crowd. They were easier to please. She glanced at derek.

Derek grinned and took a sip of his beer. He wondered if people were just wasted or if they actually liked the music.

Allor took a eer offered to her. she nodded efore taking a few sips. She sighs. She knew she couldn't just down it and get drunk again.

After everybody had left, the owner came over and handed Derek a check for $500. Derek was dumbstruck. He couldn't remember if he had ever had this much money in his hands at one time.

Allor smiled. She put an arm around his shoulder. "So what are you going to do with the pay." she asked friendly.

"Well, I guess we should split it three ways..."

Allor shurgged. "You're the reason we got the gig, but it's your choice."

Derek went to the ATM machine across the room and got some money out of his account. He handed Allor some of it and stuck the rest in Mike's pocket, who was sleeping with a bottle of beer in his hand.

Just then, a police officer came in and scanned the room with his eyes before his eyes settled on Derek. He started coming in his direction with a pair of handcuffs.

Allor cursed. "Not again." she said grabbing Derek's hand tight.

Derek tried to act inconspicuous... Maybe he wasn't here to arrest him? He turned around and sat at the bar. Before long, the cop was standing right on top of him. Derek lifted his hands up slowly at his command, then turned around. To his surprise, the police officer was pointing a gun at his chest.

Allor gasped. "No!" she said going to move to his side. She had to help him.

"Stand back," the cop said to Allor. He got his radio and called for backup. Immediately, three more cops came in. The first one threw Derek on the ground, keeping a foot on his head while he cuffed him.

"What the hell'd I do?" Derek demanded.

"Don't make me laugh. Do the words 'armed robbery' mean anything to you?"

"No, actually, I don't know what the **** you're talking about."

Alor went to throw one of the cops off. "He never robbed anyone. Get off him."

"Allor, don't bother," Derek said. The cops pulled him up roughly.

"No, I have to. It's old face lie. You've been with me all day." she says. "Please, you can't just let them lock you up over some bullsh!T they come up with."

"I can't run or I'll be in even bigger trouble than I am now," Derek whispered.

Allor sighed. She kicked the floor. "D@mn american police ain't worth a piece of sh*t."

Derek shrugged. "Alright, enough talking," one of the cops said before hauling him out the door.
