hi promisemeendless. No problem ๐ you are quite right when you say that most Filipinos arent so oriental-looking - that is if you're referring to the classic oriental looks - light skintone & chinky eyes (hope this is not sounding like racial - no offense meant).Besides, I didnt see the girls you saw so I really cant comment much.. its OK, Filipinos are so much a mix of many races - but majority of us are Malays - looking very much like Malaysians & Indonesians.. some look latin to latin-mediterranean, so on.. oh, well..
Oh i wasn't there, I live in Canada. That's interesting about how the people look like. I love learning about other countries. I'm a dork that way ๐
I just think that it is so cool of JK to give us Asians a chance. But whoever gets the role will have to realize sooner or later that she is going to be the official representative of Asians worldwide, not just her own country of ethnicity - its important that she has a great attitude - well, the pressure is on her! ๐Hope that she will do good & that the British cast will appreciate her well.
Oh I would love her even more if she gave us asians a chance and yes, she would be reppin' us. Her and the Patil twins. I know they'll do a good job, well hopefully โ
heehee...sorry about the typing thing. Just get used to messaging friends like that ๐ฎ I didnt mean to offend anyone it was just that i was really p*ssed of about them accepting everybody. I'm hk chinese but I thought - when I looked at the people they had chosen that they were looking for someone with more prominent feature but with the same untouched look.
i'm sorry, but i can't believe you can call the auditions bs when i would have given anything just to be there!*breaths*
mazzimus-at least you turned in a form, maybe they didn't need your pic because you were perfect? maybe you're so memorable they don't need a pic? it could happen...
cutie-baby-at least you got a pic and if you weren't ready WHO cares because at least they'll have a hard copy, a photo, to remember you by!
i've seriously dreamt about this since i first read "cho chang" on page 254 of my us version prisoner of azkaban 3+ years ago...when i open my book, it immediatly opens to pg 259 when harry first sets eyes on cho because i've practiced reading it out soo many million times for the 3 15-20 second audio tape samplings i've sent to the various casting directors. you're lucky to even have the chance and i would have gladly waited out there for 3 days if need be to just turn in a form and/or take a picture*cries*
i'm sorry starseeker. why couldn't you go, miss unknown? at least you live in the uk. you still have a chance.
just because there was an open audition doesn't mean that all the letters that were sent to the casting director will be ignored, right? i hope they will still be taken into consideration. ๐
