oin went with balin and died. There's nothing about the others. they survived the quest and died of old age.

Dáin Ironfoot wasn't one of the companions, but in the Battle of Five Armies... he died in the War of the Ring in the Battle of Dale... Dwalin stayed in Erebor... dunno anything bout anyone else 🙁 🙁

by the way, there was this dragon question some time ago... there must have been an other dragon apart from Smaug and Scatha... a cold-drake killed the dwarves Dáin and Frór in the Ered Mithrin some time around 2589...

why did sauron explode when isildur cut the ring from his hand?

was it because the ring was taken off?...as in taken off his body? if thats the case does that mean before he exploded he had to wear it constantly or if he took it off he would blow up?

or is it because it was 'Isildur' who took it?

He didnt _explode_ in the book... but obviously pJ saw it as the only way to show the audience that he indeed lost his power ^^ very impressing scene 😛
