No problem - you're welcome 🙂

😐 I guess this transcription was practically the only interesting thing I did today 😐

Hmm .. I saved it to my computer but I can't open it on there .. bummer 🙁.

Strange, several members had the same problem a while ago.

Try to save it as a .bmp or .gif file or so...

What program dyou normally use to open img files?

I use PSP ( paint shop pro )

Saving it as a bmp file worked 🙂 .. Thanks again.

Strange,

I also used PSP ... though I dont know if the final version is saved with PSP
Dont think so

Wait a moment
Il load it up again

If it still doesnt work

Take a screenshot (alt+print) and cut the part you need 😬

I'm off........ only for today though I think

EDIT
kk ^^
*deletes attachment*

🙂

@Original Sinner
[cant sent pix via pm]

As usually, in the upper half the English, Sindarin and Quenya form, below the white line two different possibilities of the Tengwar writing in T.Annatar-font, the first again Sindarin, the second Quenya

🙂

@Original Sinner

The next one 😛
Didn't have much time for it, so it's kinda hasty and chaotic 😛 sorry. If you want, I can do it again when I have more time bag 😮

For Ileanna, there are several different meanings, hence also different translations.

The two words above the names in the fat boxes are the 'real' names written in Tengwar writing while the ones in the 'thin' boxes below are translated to the elvish languages, too

So... just choose the one that in your opinion looks best 😂

What is this thread about exactly?
I see Exa making transcriptions, and some sort of translations...... 😕

This is actually several threads merged; the first were about the sheet music and lyrics (plus translations of it), later Kit's 'Ask exa'-thread was edited into it laughing

The beginning of the other threads:

OH!
I see now.

@Urban Angel
A transcription to tengwar beleriand (quanta sarme), used in the First Age of Middle-earth, the normal tengwar sindarin and Daeron's angerthas-rune system 🙂

😕 I need some help, could someone please translate this into English?

It was given to me in a christmas card, and I have no idea what it says 😮

It says 😑 in the mode of Beleriand:
"~Fech wkerh y ekygg thw: 'kekcho' rhye eyw" laughing
Assuming it's some other mode, the vowels could be somehow interchangeable, but I wonder why the only basic consonants the author used are nearly all from the Calmatéma 😑

... re-written in Dan Smith's font system though and then changed to Latin letters, not following the real meaning of the letters, it would say something like
"eld nalu i laiss 3n- xaladhx uil lin" - x being capital letters, either T, B or G.

The sentence is obviously sindarin then; "i laiss" being "the leaves", "Galadh" is "tree", "guil lin" "your sorcery" or here rather the objective form of "your life".
3n ('súle' instead of 'formen'😉 seems to be a typo or misreading for en, "en-galadh" is "of the tree".
d is probably my own misreading of o as it is actually written; the line in the beginning which i forgot could be an original p.
That would be
"Pelo nalu i laiss en-galadh guil lin" - or "Pelo nalú i-laiss en-galadh guil lín" which could be translated as
"Wither notime (never) the leaves of your life's tree" --

"May the leaves of your lifetree never wither" 🙂
An elvish greeting 😄

The normal transcription to Tengwar writing would look like this though:

shouldn't this be ANOTHER ASK EXA thread

lol
