USH'S MATRIX GAME FOURTH ASSIGNMENT (COMBAT PATH)- 'The Heist'

Cloud, get in the car.

That's what I was going to do. I don't want to be face to face with Mr. Agent all alone!

Nope, that's my job...heh.

Damn, 2:30 am and I'm still on here...

Cloud gets in the car? Oh dear...

We come to exertion 2. Agent privilege means that the Agent goes first.

The Agent rolls a +3 on his action- which is a usccess.

He reaches down to the side of the humvee, and in one allmighty shove... he flips it over.

Hmm, so you ALL got into the vehicle right next to the Agent? Be glad I could not afford to straight punch it...

Ok, this puts you guys in an uncomfortable position. First of all, ALL of you are proned. Secondly, you each take ten damage, minus your toughness. Ironically,. Ares would have taken none.

Oh... all except San, who is your saviour for today as a Low Kick on one of you would have been an arse.

Two damage to Mors, and a death check... he rolls +2, a pass.

Two damage to Barb, and two to Cloud- which gives him the double wound.

-----

CURRENT SITUATION AT: Sixth Round, First Turn

Wrecked humvee
San: 4/19/-1
Mors: 11/37/-1
Barb: 10/27/-3
Cloud: 15/31/0

Agent 2: ?/2/-3

-----

You can all thanks Barb for being quick as the prone time is calibrated from him. So you are all prone until exertion zero, except San.

The smiling agent now tries to take out that irritating girl- as he punches towards San.

By now, vehicles really HAVE stopped coming this way, though you can hear an engine noise in the background.

Heh, wow...that was, uh, interesting...but I'm not prone for a change! But now the Agent's pissed at me...

Fox's Retreat against his attack. Then Sweep of the Grasshopper modified with Hands Without Shadow as my attack. (damn it I wish I had master Grasshopper right now...)

I'm out, going out all day today...Barb should be on here in a little bit, though, so I'll ask him to inform me if anything big should happen.

The Agent rolls -3... a miss! San scrambles out of his way...

Oh, don't forget to get Burn and Ares out of there!

San, your attack rolls -2, and is a miss also.

When the proned guys are unproned, they can deal with that...I've got my own problems right now...

And I feel I should leave some instructions for everyone once they're unproned...

Mors and Cloud -- You two grab Ares and Burn and get them into a new car, preferably one NOT right next to the Agent...
Barb -- Shoot the hell out of the Agent to make him gain some exertions while getting to said new car.

I will try to keep the Agent distracted long enough for you guys to get in a new car, since you're all at the point where one hit could drop any of you, while I can still take a lot of damage before I really need to worry.

(I was going to post this earlier, but I kinda forgot too...heh....oh, and apparently Barb's going out today, too, so scratch what I said about him being on.)

Yowch...

Well, didn't see that coming!

Ares, way to go on wasting the Agent's Straight Punch. 😉

Orders from Mors...

San - keep the Agent distracted, prone him, shoot him whatever you deem necessary

Barb - indeed, shoot at them!

Clould - grab Burn, I'll grab Ares

Ares & Burn - if Ush allows, carry a few clips of MP5 ammo. I'll be needing it.

Everyone except San - get to a new car, preferably away from the Agent, down the street some ways. We'll get a car and drive it back around so San can Prodigious Leap on top of it, then drive away.

Mors starts to get up, looking at the flipped over Hummer.

"Shit..." As he gets up, he grabs his MP5 again.

Ares groans as he is flipped over.

"Damn..." Ares takes out his cell phone and tries to call the Shez. "Dallas, Ariadne, do you have any suggestions for getting our asses out of here alive?"

No, characters who have failed death checks can never contribute in any useful way.

"Operator," says Ariadne, sounding kind of distracted. "Umm... hang on ..." she says.

Unhelpful.

Ok, everyone is up on zero, the same time as the Agent. He takes a step onto the Humvee, crushing it slightly underfoot, and grabs for Barb, performing a Hold and Pin.

Ares tries to pull himself from the wrecked Hummer. This would be a lot easier if there were more of us... Ares thought to himself. He watched Barb get grabbed by the Agent with a cringe.

"'Hang on' does not help me in any way, Ariadne. I don't like being put on hold after having my face pounded in by an Agent with my friends on the brink of death themselves."

(Would it be possible for me to reach for clips and Ares at the same time?)

(Hold & Pin, new Agent intelligence.)

IS it? I am sure it has been used before. Did everyone forget to ask about it?

Edit- no, I remember, I cannot find the reference so I did not type it up.

It is a +1 to hit Hold as the Agent picks you up by the throat, always followed by an auto-success throw.

And probably, Mors.

(We must have not said anything, if you have indeed used it. It is not listed.)

(Just added an edit there, above)

Well, it is not listed under powers, I see.
