But is it objective

Nothing ever is.

true

well, I have read the book, and seen the documentary, how the hell do you think I have heard about the Alamo and shit..? 🙂

And your point is?

well, you said that I should read the book...wich I have.....thats the point!

Anyway..we are way of topic now....

Black Hawk Down

6 out a 6!

I said one should read the book (or even books for that matter) if you wanted historical accuracy. And looks like you got it.

Good movie, have to watch it a second time. Couldn't make out the different characters too well first time around.

I knew who everybody was, a since I have read the book.
The two persons that you really should learn to know, is snipers Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart, the most herroic men I have ever heard about!!!

Okay. Will have them on my look-at list.

Good!

the most herroic men I have ever heard about!!!
that would be the firemen of NYC

not for me!
Shughart and Gordon is...they where also the first soldiers to get the congresional Medal of Honor post mortem!

Bu they are on the list...

no idea, who would be this will be a toughy

say again!

I think real hero's are measured by their acts not their medals for one so screw those congresional medals of honour they don't mean dick
the fire fighters from NYC come close but I think the most heroic men were the thousands of soldiers that took part in operation overlord or any other militairy operation to free europe or another part of the world during the second world war, tho some of the americans are the nicest example they didnt fight purely for themselves they died to safe and liberate the asses of millions of my country men

measuring who is the most heroic man ever is folly, the most heroic acts might as well be from some guy we've never heard about anywhere in teh world.

but we are discussing heoic acts we heard off, if we aint heard off it how can you call it heroic.

It is just to say "if a tree falls in the woods and there is no one there to witness it does it make a sound"

no. an act can of course be heroic even if you haven't heard about it.

and also; who's to say the most heroic acts is always something that involves physical danger.

Oh, it's all turned into a etymology debate.

idd but we should just add some more rules okie

it must be the most heroic men we have HEARD off, not the most heroic men who have ever lived

and mah noone said it had to be physical danger

I still go for the soldiers of overlord or maybe the russians who liberated stalingrad tho I think that was a bit more under force
