So in other words, Fire...you dont think that Shughart and Gordon are brave, they went down to Super 64, after It was gunned down by an RPG, they asked 3 times before they got to go, they where warned that the chance of surviving this was minimal, still they went...
After Gordon was shot, Shughart went in to Pilot Durant, and gave him his rifle, he took out his pistol, and said to Durant whatever happes, -"Good luck"

They hold the somalies of for an hour, and was shoot when they where almost out of ammo.

They did not go down to get medals or get a higher rang, they did it because it was their job, and there where a fellow American soldier down there!!

If this is not heroic, nothing is...nobody here would have done the same! (I presume)

And its not only the firemen in NY who where heroic , dont forget the police men as well.

well then I can add mine again.. it was a technically well done film, but I found it boring and one-dimensional.

Just saw the series Band of Brothers and it is, in my mind, extremly many times better than BHD

It had the same problem of not ebing able to recognise the actors. 😛

I liked Black Hawn Down a lot too.

i find the movies based on true events most fascinating. when did 'black hawk down' take place, the event. wasn't it a book first or something?

I took place in 1993, and the book came out first...it was written by Mark Bowden...

Just read in a Norwegian paper, that Saddam has give copyes of Black Hawk Down out to his soldier, to show them how to get the americans...this says how realistic the movie is!!
