After Gordon was shot, Shughart went in to Pilot Durant, and gave him his rifle, he took out his pistol, and said to Durant whatever happes, -"Good luck"
They hold the somalies of for an hour, and was shoot when they where almost out of ammo.
They did not go down to get medals or get a higher rang, they did it because it was their job, and there where a fellow American soldier down there!!
If this is not heroic, nothing is...nobody here would have done the same! (I presume)
And its not only the firemen in NY who where heroic , dont forget the police men as well.
