I think I'm gonna start playing again soon. Not sure what I want to play, though.

Digi, lol, since you seem to be the only member actually actively playing this game, out of these classes which is the best at the moment?

Mage
Priest
Rogue

Have one of each at level 70+, dunno which one to go with first.

That's like 4 days of dailies at 80.

That actualy sounds horrible, when I returned for WoW earlier this year, dailies were more or less a new thing for me (I returned once earlier for 10 days bt never really got into dailies). I soon foudn out though that they were terrible, sure they were ufn to do once, maybe a second time, but then it became a chore. At the end I could only drag myself on to do the Cooking and Fishing dailies because I needed the skill and recipies.

At least they were quick, at least the ones on the Isle. The place itself was fun, though. Great PVP action if that was your sort of thing.

With dual spec, it's hard to say. Priests are always going to be top of the line all-around heals, and you can practically put yourself up for auction as a healer at 80. They're always in demand, and you'll never lack for things to run. Rogues don't do the dps they should for being dps-only in raids (with of course limited CC and whatnot), so I'd actually just advise you against that. I've seen rogues that are about my lvl of gear do respectably, but none have beaten me on the meters. If they do, they have much better gear. Otherwise, your call. Mages do good dps, and are useful to have in raids. Similarly-geared mages can and have beaten me on occasion, so that's how I gauge it.

With dual spec, Priest is the only one of those that can perform 2 raid functions, so that might be the way to go simply because of versatility. I haven't run enough post-3.1 to know who got big buffs/nerfs to dps, but mages have clearly been > rogues in my experience.

If you like PvP, I have no clue. Probably rogue then? I don't PvP, I mostly just raid.

The alternative is instant gratification on gear and such, which would rob the game of some of the reward of becoming a really good player. I agree they can be tedious, but after finding quick ones in the same locale, I can bang out like 400G in under two hours (only at 80, mind you, since the gold reward is less for earlier lvls). With how long everything takes in the game, it's actually relatively quick.

Besides, I did dailies until my eyes bled for a rock-ass trinket that upped my boss dps by like 300 the last two weeks, so I don't want to hear it.

What is a good PVP server?

Lawl, dunno. I play on Andorhal, which I enjoy, but I have no frame of reference compared to other servers. In my brief experience, everyone seems to think their particular server is epic fail, and they enjoy yelling at Blizz for every crash.

So unless you have friends or toons on a particular server, you could probably just use the "Recommended" feature that Blizzard has for server-choosing.

I've only played on two, but basically from that I've managed to find that Balnazzar was good and Garithos sucks. 😬

I agree with much of what Digi said, however I don't recommend you go by the servers Blizz has set to 'recommended'. These are often servers that are severely underpopulated, often times to the point where you may have trouble finding groups to do anything.

Really the only thing that matters is population. You want a server with a pretty good balance between factions, with a good amount of players but not one with so many that there's a queue to get in every weekend.

Here's a useful website. http://www.warcraftrealms.com/realmstats.php

It tells you the total amount and the percentage between the factions and even the timezone if that's important to you.

There's always whore guilds if he's desperate, I started out in recommended and haven't had too much trouble, besides I can imagine just starting out in a populated server being troublesome on a PVP server, I haven enough problems with horde on recommended servers.

no more alliance characters for me. they are all children thats why we can never win in PVP. its gotten so bad we even lose more than the hordes now in AV ever since burning crusade came out. casters are to damn OP now. hate rogues and frost mages more than anything else.

Yeah I haven't been playing long but it's apparent that there's a lack of good alliance players. If you hate rogues you should play me, I'm possibly one of the worst rogue's of all time lol, but above rogues and frost mages I have a problem with Paladins. They drive me nuts, this is only furthered by the fact that one of my characters is a rogue.

I'm a warrior and i got to level 80 but the game is just to damn addicting once you start playing you cant get off. when i play wow i don't take care of the things i need to do 1st. they should call it war crack.

i got banned from a guild just cause i left a raid to go to work. some of those guys take the game way to damn serious. they don't respect that other people have lives and other things come 1st before wow. lots of kids have dropped out of school and stuff just so they can dedicate their lives to wow. i was addicted for over a year but i finally convinced myself to quit. but i had some good times on there and stuff all the raids i did and all that was fun. i especially liked duel wielding 2 2H weapons. that was cool for us since everyone else is to damn OP now. i don't know if it was just my server but there's to many damn chuck Norris fan boys on there.

the game gets stressful as hell especially for alliance in PVP. I've broken my mouse twice cause of PVP alliance.

every since lich king all casters have been to OP.

So I went with my Death Knight. Didn't intend to play him but I messed around with all my characters and he's the one that stuck. I pretty much fell in love with frost. Burst damage that makes me dick hard. Also he looks awesome.

so i stopped playing for a couple months cuz of cost, but im getting a new job and computer soon and might start playing again. i have an 80 dk and a 74 pally, and i only do pve i hate pvp unless i get together with friends to do it, tell me how is the dual specing for pve, do you have to pay for it and if so how much, and is there a cooldown on switching or can you just switch anytime you want to ? and any other details about the new patch that would be good for me to know, if you could be so kind to tell me before i pay for another 6 months i would apreciate it

1000 gold for dual speccing.

You can switch anytime, just not in combat or in arenas, and it drains your mana everytime you swtich.

wow that is awesome, apart from the mana part, does it drain all the mana when you do it or just a portion like when you rez
