Yeah I was playing a BE a moment ago, their starting area looks great, very nice music and interesting quests. Haven't seen their city yet, though.
play some draenei dernit 😄 .. yeah the artwork for the BE city was really inspiring

you tossers still playing 😛 how is the quests BF, and how are the nps tied to the quests? will it be more of the kill xxx of monster Y, and bring me back 20 of their xxxxx, are the mosnters diffrent to fight then the same ol crap, they stand there do their boring attacks and then die? or is it better fights where no fight is the same? can we exspect it to be more ''deep'' ? ''old wow'' was just so pointless, you couldint really fight any intresting fights besides outdoor pvp, and you where just bored all the time... also will the quests be the thing upholding the exspansion, not just countless runs to some doungeon to get some purpal epixxxxxxx? in short will this make the game that every real rpg'er was hopeing from the first game to be? and not just more mobs and loot for the addicted ppl that have sitting wounds on their fat asses?

The quests are mostly more of the same thus far, but the lore behind them is a tad more interesting. In Outland, the quests feel pretty epic, partly because creatures you're fighting actually feel and look powerful. Also, upon entering outland

Spoiler:
There is a huge battle being faught with a giant pitlord and a few giant infernals against the alliance and the horde
. It's pretty awesome.

What I'm really excited for is the overhaul to PVP. No longer are there ranks, instead you amass honor points as if it was currency, which you can spend on weapons, armor, ect. This can be built up over time and without any decay, so you won't have to keep grinding just to make that next rank, just play casually and you'll eventually get there, play more and you'll get the points needed faster. Seems really really good.

Yeah, I'll try a Draenie soon, Sats. I made one already and peaked around the zone a bit. The art of the zone isn't as impressive or unique as the Blood Elf one, just kind a dark forest. But we'll see how the quests are.

Uhh... I would do anything to get on that Beta server....

Do you know the release date for the expansion? I think its after Christmas right? Well anyway, I'm definetely making a blood elf paladin... its gonna be sick droolio

Supposedly it's going to be released by xmas, but who knows with blizzard?

I heard 26th Oct, but as BF said who knows blizzard, anyhow, that seems to be in the right direction of the game, the pvp could be fun, I still casualy take 1 run to brd arena with my ''best friend'' in wow, hes a warrior and im a paladin, so the combo is very strong and not bragging but we've been said to be best of the classes on the server, we are going to try out the 2 v 2 arena, if the game it self is as fun as some have said, I may acturly give it a go, and not just grind pvp even though it can be pretty exciting to times, but also take a step aside and do quests, and just have a good exspiriance something which wow has lacked since I left duskwoods horror story 1½ year ago... I hope for the best

The game's definately not coming out that soon.

OMG that spending honor as currency idea kicks so much ass...>_<!

I was wondering if I should keep playing my 60 RET Pally.. or should I just move on and be a Draenei warrior.. 🙁

well sat if you really wanan have fun and effectiveness in TBC, find your self a warrior companion for the arena, dont go swinging the 2 hander if you wanan win really, you can be the best supporter in teh game, and if the warrior is kickass aswell, then your not gonna be a easy fight for anyone.

Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh.

Thinking about getting this game back. Couple of questions, though.

1. Paladins: can they be nigh-unkillable healbots?
2. Is honor gained solely through HKs or can non-combatants that participate still get honor?
3. Is there an RP/PVP server?

if you're in the raid with the people killin you get honor..
yes theres RP / PVP server...
and I'm not an expert on healbots.. so I cant comment..

on a side note..

OMG BLIZZ I LOVE YOU! ... CRUSADER STRIKE FTW!~~~ (41 RET here I come 😈 )

About time Paladins get a good talent. They've been in dire need of an attack like that.

Paladins always windge about burst dps and dps over all, the blessing and curse of being a hybird is that if you want the kind of " fury warrior" dps that all paladins want but just wont say it because they'll be shot down so quick by every other class, any way the thing is if you want that you have to forsaske all healing and defensive gear and talants and go full ret with everything.
Folks do this and the legandary " critadins" were a fine example of this, as patch's come and go this kind of power becomes harder and harder to gain as the paladin class becomes more and more like a Rock that can take hits and heal.
I myself have tried to go full ret and pwn the hordy boys, it's hard.
My point is why is the paladin class complaining when i can be a happy medium between both face melting and face healing.
But no, they want uber heals and uber dps, it's not going to happen sure they got a nudge in the tanking direction great but there all wingding about mass dispel now my plan as a pally, see a priest>cast a blessing>proceed to get arse kicked by priest until the boys come.

Priests get uber heals and uber DPS.

Is anyone playing on an RP/PVP server?

Healadin build. Whee. Critique.

But priests are fragile, and our DPS is constant, with DOTS and such, we have no burst damage. Plus our DPS is locked into a single target and we have to spend much mana to put out high DPS since it's all magic.

I don't think paladins want to be crazy strong when it comes to offense. The problem was paladins were just very boring to play, imo. It's "buff yourself, run up to a mob, auto attack, heal, repeat." Now with a nice strike that can be done during combat, it will help a lot.

Oh, I know. I'm just saying, that seems to be a common gripe amongst other classes.

Yeppers 😊 so long overdue.. but I'm glad they put it in

my friend speculates they will nerf the strike by either increasing mana cost.. or having it force a cooldown on judgement... so you cant judge and then strike (which actually would be the coolest combo ever..)... but I'm just going to hope for the best, because pallies are in dire need of an 'instant' attack like that... alot of my (I dunno about anyone else) dying is caused by hoping my 'chance on hit' will happen

I can easily go toe to toe with warriors atm... all depends on which of us gets that vicious crit first 😛

--------------------

do you guys know offhand any strats for a druid vs a mage?

the only Idea I could come up with is to kite them in cheetah form with DoTs to make them waste their mana blinking after me.. 😖

Druids have a big advantage over mages because of their ability to pretty much be immune to Poly. Start off with your dots, then change to bear form to get some extra HP, then heal yourself when need be (having natures swiftness will help since they won't be able to counterspell it).

I unfortunately dont have natures swiftness lol.... does Nature's Grasp proc off of spells?.. or only melee? 😖

Not sure. Probably just melee.
