The Yule Ball

"I don't know." Descartes says. "Uncle Lucus had it." he sighs. "Maybe it's nothing."

Elrohir raised an eyebrow. "Nothing? her eyes went all black. What if it's something serious?"

"Then I'll die. Sonia's my heart." he said quieting when the healer came out.

"Mr and Mrs Hubert, can we talk in private." the healer says softly.

Elrohir felt his stomach take a sickening drop. What was going on?
" I hope she's alright."

Descartes watched his parents. "I think I'm going to be sick. I know I sound like a baby, but I can't help it."

"I know what you mean." Elrohir said. "I know the feeling. Maik comes here far more often than I'd like."

Max and Caroline had gotten out of the train and looked around. Max breathed in deeply and sighed. "I hadn't been here for two years." He told Caroline. "And it feels great to see this place again."
"Yeah, well." Caroline said. "Let's not just stand around here. let's just get there already."
"Oh. Yes. right." Max said. they then walked all the way to hogwarts, which took about twenty minutes. When they reached there, they saw Dumbledore standing at the doorsteps to greet them.
"Ah! Maximus Grint and Caroline Carnarvon! My, you two have grown!" He said happily.
"You knew we'd be here?" Caroline asked.
"Yes. I did. Maximus had sent me a letter before coming, to inform me of your presence." He replied. he then turned to look at Max. "And I am also told that you have some important matters you need to discuss. Am I right, Maximus?"
"Yes, sir." Max replied. "And they are also private matters that I'd rather not have Caroline conversing in, as well."
"Ah, yes. I understand." Dumbledore said, nodding. "Now If you would kindly follow me please."
"Yes, sir" Max replied. Both Max and Caroline followed him. When they had reached the statue that lead to dumbledore's office, Dumbledore said the password and then turned to Max and said, "Maximus. please come with me." then dumbledore looked over at Caroline. "Ms. Carnarvon, would you kindly wait out here while Mr. Grint and I have our conversation in my office."
"Yes, Professor." She said. They went up while Caroline stayed behind. the conversation seemed to have lasted for five minutes. She started to wonder what the conversation they were having was about. I wonder if it has anything to do with the deatheaters who were after us? she thought to herself. When Max and Dumbledore got back, Dumbledore began to speak.
"Thank you for waiting patiently, Ms. Carnarvon. Now Mr. Grint tells me that you need a place to stay. And I will gladly let both of you stay here for the next few days. Mr. Filch!" After Dumbledore called his name, Mr. Filch, who was looking as grumpy as ever, came over. "Please take Mr. Grint and Ms. Carnarvon to where they will be staying for the next few days."
"Yes, professor." Filch replied, in his usual, cranky voice. he then looked over at Max and Caroline and said, "Follow me."

When his parents came back they looked mortified. "They want to keep her overnight. do some tests or something." Mrs. Hubert broke down.

Oh no. This wasn't turning out well at all. Elrohir whispered to Descartes "I'd better go. you need to be with your parents."

Descartes shook his head. "You should probably stay a little while. I mean, you're the only one that can talk sense into Sonia."

Elrohir felt his ears turning red slightly. "Well, if you really want me to, I could stay a little longer."

"Thanks." Mrs. Huberts says. "Will you please go talk to her. She seems to feel caged in."

"Me?" Elrohir pointed to himself dubiously. "Are you sure? You're her family."

"Her father and I have already talked to her and she attacked us or tried to." Mrs. Hubert said shocking her son.

"Oh." Elrohir said, feeling awkward. "I guess I should give it a try then."
He made his way down the hallway to where Sonia's room was and knocked on the door.

"WHat?" she yelled seemingly pissed.

Elrohir carefully opened the door and poked his head inside. "Hi." he said softly, trying not to make her angry. "Mind if I come in?"

SOnia blushed slightly and shook her head. "Sorry." she says. "and you owe me a god damned smoothie."

Elrohir laughed "That I do."
he waved his wand and a nice big smoothie appeared at her bedside. "We even now?"

"I guess." Sonia sighed and started eating. "I hate this. I thought it was just going to be like a check up."
