The Yule Ball

Elrohir coughed slightly. "I don't know, someone else?"

Maik looked around in confusion, trying to figure out what had become of Descartes. "Descartes?"

Sonia gave im a curious look but pushed the thought away. "So what do I do now?"

After a few seconds, there was a 'pop' sound. Descartes stood behind Maik. His robes were disheveled.

Elrohir shrugged. "I don't know. What do you want to do?"

Maik jumped back slightly in surprise. "Where'd you go?"

"GO home." Sonia suggesdted sheepishly. She felt so drained and homesick.

"Um, nowhere." he said blushing a deep red. Descartes tried to change the subject quickly. "Have you seen my sister or your brother yet?"

"I don't blame you." Elrohir replied softly. "Just wait a little longer."

Maik raised an eyebrow, clearly dubious. "No, I haven't. My mom ought to know what room your sister is in and Elrohir is sure to be there too."

Sonia nodded. She rubbed her eyes sleepily. "Okay" She replies like a scolded child.

Descartes nodded. "Okay, then let's go.

Elrohir chuckled softly and kissed Sonia on the forehead. "Go to sleep. It'll make the time go by faster."

Maik wandered to the receptionist's desk and asked where her mother had gone to. Once she found that out she made her way to the elevators to get to the right level.

Descartes followed. He had a goofy smile on his face.

Sonia nodded. Within a few moments she was in bed and asleep.

Elrohir found a chair for himself and sat down next to the bed, leaning his head back against the wall and dozing off.

Maik looked back at Descartes and noticed the smile. She raised an eyebrow and half smiled herself. "What's that smile for?"

Descartes shrugged. "Dunno" He replies as they approach the room.

Maik chuckled and ducked into the room where her mother was seeing a patient. When her mom saw her come in she finished scrawling on a piece of parchment and walked over to Maik and Descartes.
"What are you two up to?"
"Looking for Elrohir and Sonia." Maik replied. "What room is Sonia in?"
Maik's mother scanned a thick wad of parchments on her clipboard until she found the right one. "27. Don't pester her two much you two, she's supposed to be sleeping."

Descartes smiled. "Thank you." He tells Maik's Mom as the hurried to Sonia's room. He was surprised to find his sister asleep.

"I guess she really is asleep. Wonder how they convinced her to do that." Maik said, glancing at Elrohir asleep in his chair.

"Maybe they told her she could go home in the morning." Descartes said experimentally poking his sister.

"Maybe." Maik said, swatting at his hand. "Don't poke her!"

"What? Why not?" He asks pouting. "Is it really any worse that staring at her?"

"Staring won't wake her up." Maik replied stoutly. "At least I don't think it will."

Sonia grumbled. "but the incestent talking will. Poke me again, Descartes, and loose your finger."

Maik swatted Descartes on the shoulder. "See? All your fault."

Density looks around and sees that she was the only person who'd came late.Desperate to talk to talk to someone she starts a convo with Maik and says,"Hey,Maik..what up?"
