Sonia heard Maik and paused for only a sec. She kept going until she found the potions room. She started mixing the ingredients. By the time Maik had reached her Sonia ad knife out. All that was need was a drop of her blood.

This had gone too far. Maik stretched out her hand and suddenly Sonia's hand holding the knife was incased in ice. "Stop!" She cried, and her eyes grew red with anger

Sonia glared at Maik. Taking a deep reath she stared at her frozen hand and concentrated. The ice very slowly started to melt away.

" Clever. Very clever." Maik smirked and stretched out her hand again. This time Sonia's entire body was incased in ice excluding the partially melted hand holding the knife. Maik slowly walked over and took it away then stepped back.

Sonia wanted to shiver but couldn't. In a few minutes Maik's ice would completely freeze sonia and she would die.

" Told you not to do that." Maik said casually and once again stretched out her hand. This time Fire lept up around Sonia and began to melt the ice.

When the ice was melted Sonia fell over backwards. She glared at Maik. "WHy did you stop me? Why can't you let me ring them back?"

" Because," Maik replied " I could never in good concience let you use dark magic to do anything. Even something so noble as bringing your parents back."

SOnia sighed. She started to cry knowing she would never see her parents again. "I hate you." she whispered. "And I hate the @sshole that killed my parents."

" How can you hate me?" Maik asked quietly " I only wanted to help you. I'm an auror, remember?"

"Because you won't let me bring my parents back. Is it so bad to want your mom and dad?" Courtney asked softly efore reaking into sobs. She ran away from Maik.

Voldemort smirked. His followers were so old and stupid. They umbled everything. This Maik was doing exactly what he wanted.

She had run away. Why was she allways running away? Maik sighed in frustration, then suddenly whipped around as footsteps aproached her holding her wand at the ready. She froze in surprise when she saw who it was. A young man, slightly taller then her, who was also holding his wand out, pointed at her. Maik glared angrily at him. " What are you doing here?" She demanded. " Looking for you." He snapped back. " You've been gone for hours! The ministry is turning itself upside down trying to find you!" Maik stuck her tounge out at him nastily and insisted that he leave her alone since she was in the middle of something important. At this, he picked her up and attempted to drag her back down the hallway while avoiding her flailing legs and arms. " Don't think I'm going to go easy on you just because you're my brother!" She yelled furiously and kicked him harder.

Sonia tripped the fleeing guy making him drop Maik. "Leave her the hell alone." she screamed kicking him in the ribs.

The man yelped in pain and Maik quickly stepped over him to protect him from Sonia. " It's ok! Really! He's my brother!" Maik reached down to help him up.

"Why was he carrying you away against your will." she said still watching the other man. She didn't trust him.

" Because he's my brother." Maik replied as if it was the most normal thing in the universe. She smiled inwardly at the thought of Sonia caring about her wellbeing. At least she didn't hate her.

Sonia gave a low growl. "Whatever." it was obvious the menyion of family pained her since hers were gone. She walked back into the room she had been in. It was a drawing room. The walls were painted in a huge mural. They were sketch books everywhere and easels were scattered about the room.

Maik and her brother looked curiously around the room and the various cans of paint that were on the floor. Maik reached down with a large paint brush and scooping up some dark blue paint

"NO! Put that back." Sonia demanded. "Please, I don't want my parents' things to be moved."

Maik sighed grumily and put the paint back. Her brother leaned over and whispered " What is going on here?"
