"I`ll Be Back" in this thread when a decent trailer is released so as we can get a good look at the movie instead of the cr*ppy teaser trailer`s they are giving us just now, i`ll be back to comment more on this as i cant really say anymore just now as i`ve said all i can say without seeing more of the movie, i`m not holding my breath though for greatness in this movie as that aint going to happen.
The reason i think this movie actually has a chance of being good is because of anderson. Unlike the previous attempts in these franchises The entire movie will be in the directors vision. Anderson insisted on taking hand in the script, and story. He is a great fan of these sci-fi tyrants, and is a budding director. Yeah some diddnt like Resident evil, but you have to take into consideration that the budget he had to work with was very low, and also there were certain things he couldnt do seeing how it was an already copyrighted story.
The first two alien movies and the first predator movie were totally fueled by the directors and screen writers they chose ,this is why i beleive they were so good. Alien 3, resurection and predator 2 were concived in a think tank of writers hired by Fox, and left the director little say in the actual story. If AvP does blow, this time the blame will be soley on the director.

please just read the script, the link to it is on page 2, if u like movies with little to go on you will like it then, i wish it were a to be a great movie but after freddy vs jason, which was more amusing than frightening(not even scary at all) i just dont expect much out of these rivalry movies
Alien v Predator is set in Antartica, i think the script you have is more like the comic book version of alien v Predator, were the Humans and Predators team up to fight the Aliens. I dont know if that will happen in this movie. Also the character names are completely different.
yes That is another thing i am pleased with. I am so happy Anderson broke away with the Commercial aspect of the Alien movies. Your right about the comic book thing, Anderson talked with Gary Williams, who wrote the most popular alien comic books which include Aliens vs predator, and predator cold war. Even though he was not an official writer, Anderson went to williams for inspiration. That shows that someone does care about what is being made.
I thought it was a great trailer. It didnt show any big surpraises or no big screens. but shows scenes that would make people want to see it. I hate trailers that show all the good parts of the movie. Especially parts that would be cool to see. but when you see them, your like" oh i saw this already"
