Xmarks, you beat me to it. I was just about to explain how Colossus probably has even more heart and drive than Ben with that example, then you came and did it first. It's cool though, I'm glad that someone else recognized that, too.
Yea, Colossus sacrificed himself so that EVERY other mutant on the planet would survive. If that's not heart, I don't know what is.

1. Come on now you are forgetting a very important detail in that fight between Ben and Gladiator.
It was happening smack dab in the middle of downtown NYC in rush hour.
Ben said it himself he had to worry about the citizens safety first. Amongst 10's of thousands of people or whatever your typical rush hour in NYC has. So Ben was having to look out for his peeps, where Gladiator had one mission and that was at that moment take out Ben how ever that needs to happen. Not exactly an even playing Field for the fight.
Don't get me wrong Gladiator beats Ben one on one 8.5/10 but all of the fights would be longer versions with still mostly losses for Ben.
Colossus wants nothing to do with Ben in a fight, he's aware of that. Now you Colossus FANBOYS need to open your eyes too.
2. If there is a possible advantage for Colossus in something it maybe in Dur but only if you consider Dur only to be because of their types of skin or if your including in that the taking punishment in a fight too then i think using that combo you have to lean towards Ben.
3. Colossus has been to other planets recently. Ben's been doing it since the 60's and not just in our universe, he's been doing it throughout many other universes in many different galaxies.
Taking on and out (for the most part) the best of area. Colossus can't really say that.
4. No he doesn't don't kid yourself.
5. Ben was a all American athlete in college. He hasn't lost anything. His being made of rocks didn't effect that at all Per Marvel.

People confuse "being tough and having heart" with shaking your fists and shouting "Come here you creep, I haven't done with you yet." Colossus doesn't do that macho stuff. That's why Colossus, though he is technically superior to Thing, gets underestimated.

Colossus prefers to shut up and show his own pretty well.

Colossus indeed is agile for a big guy. He took Juggernaut down with a summersault kick. Thats twice in one fight Colossus put down Juggy.

Yep...they r only telling some of the details from those fights. Colossus was anihilated by Champion, yet the Thing broke his ribs. And i already talked about the writer in his fight against the sasquatch, that writer depicted the Thing as barely able to lift 5 tons!
