ok found it, you're right, there was no city, but something about the land Nod, west of eden were kain went after killing abel (must have mixed that up). BUT kain and abel were the first and at that time, the only children of adam and eve, and it sais here that Kain goes away to live in Nod and that his WIFE ( don't know how he go here) bares him a son, Henoch, and he get a son, Irad, and so on...., but were do all the wives come from?????? (and women are made out of a mans ribs, puhlease! )

but this isn't really evlution, so sorry about that, just telling a few strange bible facts....

uhh, wives werent named in the bible...

and with that ... back to the topic

(komaan el-pirate, we weten dat de bijbel één en al vol hiaten zit, laat het nou maar)

ok, i'll stop even though i was right! (did not know you could speak dutch...)
proof for evolution in 'origin of species' by charles darwin!

that's not what you should say ... now eezy will reply with saying (s)he (haven't checked profile) is right!

LOL, ok eezy, you're up!! 😛

You guys better not get my thread closed ❌ 😛

But as for Adam and Eve, yeah, I have wondered about that myself... How we would all be incredibly inbred if we were all descended from two people.

LOL the reason why humans can never be perfect: inbred!!!!

actually kangaroos didnt exist when it still was pangea or so.

No, they didn't. The ancestors of kangaroos did, and THEY evolved into kangaroos. But oh, to make you believe that, you'd have to believe in evolution... which you don't. Too bad. (And I apologize if this has been answered already... so many pages in this thread...... *dies*)

The Force> But why do you blindly accept something from, a web-site which a few forumites can refute?

Forumites... 😆 Ohh, that's good... I like that one 😄

If you believe in atheist evolution, you have to believe in Big Bang and all life evolving of dead materia. (and that primal slime thingy later)

Wrong-- first, life did not "evolve" from anything. It was spontaneously created. Second, it did not evolve from "dead" materia-- it was created from non-living materia. To be dead, it would have to be alive first, and nothing was alive before there was life. 😆 Non-living means that something was never alive, dead means that it was once alive but isn't anymore.

I don't think I found every post that I wanted to quote... 😬 But that happens when a thread grows two pages in one day. 😑

then increase the posts per page in your user options.

wait, ive just read something in german, will translate it.

You still there?

I believe God created evolution

Even were the evolution theory proved correct it still wouldn't negate the existence of any higher powers.

very true

*points* See? Now there's a nice compromise! You don't have to say "oh, evolution is false, the bible says so," you could just believe that God created evolution! *sigh*

I can also give you some reasons against that soon...
gotta find that damn book first! 😛

First of all, it has been proven correct, the entire thread is filled with evidence for it. Very true that a higher power could still exist, but at the same time, evolution does not require there to be a god.

Ancalagon, please do look for that book, rather than just putting it off...
