Don't really understand how bones have anything to do with the rest of his body if they're indeed metal. What is there to build on? Where is the brain? Surely his brain would have been ****ing annihilated by a nuke, explosion, radiation, etc.

Wolverine has not been "upgraded." What you might have seen was ONE writer taking Wolverine's healing factor to his creative limits. If that was the case (him being upgraded) he would ALWAYS heal immediately from wounds, and he does NOT.

Nah he hasn't. I do hate when writers take a character and bend their rules way out of shape. In the 'run' series they do describe Wolverine as theoretically not being able to die but thats deff wrong. He's supposed to be able to die even from excessive blood loss or a vital organ being damaged.He's not like a lizard or spider who can grow limbs back but recently alot of writers have treated him that way. Its way outta control!
