A guard found Ramses listening in on their conversation. He drug him into the room.
"What should I do with him, sire? He was listening in on your conversation.."
"Umm...Let him go. He does oddjobs for us every once in awhile...Hey, you were the one that was asking the irrelivant questions the other night. Is there a reason you're here?"
"I didn't break in, the door was wide open," Rameses said, motioning to a sleeping guard outside the door, an earthenware jug still clutched loosely in his hand.
Rameses took the papyrus and went outside to start working. He grabbed a thick rope tied to one of the huge blocks and started pulling alongside the other workers.
"The palace really wasn't my decision...It's more of tradition than anything. Besides, I'm usually too busy to notice it. The kingdom isn't ruled by me alone...There are many that you and the general public will never see that pretty much tell me what's going on ,under some circumstances, and I make a decision from there."
