You definitely gotta check out some more Outkast, J. Their albums after Aquemini are their weakest, imo, so you haven't really heard their best stuff. So Far it looks like this as far as classic albums go:

Ghostface & Raekwon: Only Built 4 Cuban Linx & Ironman

Outkast: Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, Atliens, and Aquemini

Red & Meth: Blackout

Hope red and meth release a couple more albums together to make it fair.

havent heard the outkast yet, i didnt mind the speakerboxxxx/love below albums. they had a few alright tracks between them.

what are some good redman albums?

actually i was thinkin about goin back to the roots, what are the classic big daddy kane albums?

As far as Red goes, you gotta get Whut Thee Album, Muddy Waters, and Dare Iz A Darkside. Those are his best albums and dope hip-hop albums period.

It's a Big Daddy Thing & Long Live the Kane are MUST HAVES. Great place to start with Kane.

only built 4 cuban linx is a classic album, and like the song Aint no half steppin by kane, hes the one that got me into sayin "word to tha mother." I never been able to get into Redman for some reason.

If you wanna hit roots bro, pick up some Grandmaster Flash, kurtis blow, Geto Boys, and of course Slick Rick and Dougie Fresh. but not to go to far back in time, you have to get Midnight Marauders by the Tribe, that imo is their best album.

i love those rap group names, the Furious 5, or Get Fresh Crew, now we have gay shit like G- Unit and Trap Squad.

midnight marauders is a great album. i dont really consider tribe old school, i see it like layed back and really positive. i dont really like old school hip hop in general, its not that its bad i just dont really enjoy listening to it.

i could never get into the geto boys either, i listen to it and i know its classic but im not enjoying myself. i watched this thing on tv last night that was honoring all the greats in hip hop, kane, flash, ll cool j and a couple more that i cant remember right now. man when kane came out and performed the whole pace went crazy, he did the splits thing where he jumps off the guys hand and swings his leg over him and drops into the splits, that was crazy. common and black thought came out before him and spit some of his classic verses, it was awesome.

ohh i know that, it was on Vh1 i think and it was like hip-hop honors or somethin like that, and todays artists would come out and perform old school songs, and then the actual artrist himself would come out and perform. yeah i liked it, Kane's performance by far was the best, i hated when Nelly and Ciara came out for LL, if i was him, i would've had somebeody else do it.

i missed that part, i was watching half watching that half watching city slickers. i would've had a dope indie act come out for me, nelly sucks the nut.

I was listening to My Mind Is Playing Tricks On Me, earlier. Such a great ****in track. Old or new school.

T-man, what tracks you feelin on that compilation, other then the two you mentioned earlier?

How about some classic Talib Kweli, Hi-Tek, and Mos Def? It's a shame they've only done so much together. They dropped classic after classic in the late 90's. Anyway, peep the track if you haven't already. Good shit.

Best Slick Rick song IMO is Children's Story

Man every second of Great Adventures is classic, not just Children's Story. One of the most instantly listenable albums I've heard.

What do the Lif fans in here think of his "Sleepy Heads" album?
