Dang it sound like some of yall are hatin on Em. I think he is doin his thing. He owns his own label, he has his own clothing line(I am sporting one of the shirts now) and he releases hugh albums (no matter how bad his first single is).

No hate'n here. I'm pulling for the little white boy. This is hip-hop, though. Come correct or stay home. I think Em could be one the biggest pieces of hip-hop history. But, not with this new ca-ca. On his last album, the first single was bang'n and still pop enough to sell records.

well said man, nobody is questioning his obvious talent but nobody who knows anything about hip hop is gonna respect his new track. He may not be the best mc out there but he definitely has talent, which makes his current music such a tragedy.

Stones Throw

madvillian 2!!

u serious~!!!!

and how do we randomly get few new members that like underground...

Madlib did an interview with some website or magazine and he said hes making continuations of Madvillian, YNQ, and obviously Quasimoto. Its on the Stones Throw website. They are not really underground anymore.

Hey. I just signed up to this forum, and its good to see that most of the people on here have pretty good taste in music. I just recently started getting into hip hop, so I don't know alot of artists yet but its cool to see you guys like some of the same artists I do. Right now basically the only good hip hop music i know/listen to is: Immortal Technique, Pharoah Monch, ChinoXL, Atmosphere, Necro, Ill Bill, Wordsworth, Talib Kweli, Jurassic 5, Mos Def, Mobb Deep, Wu Tang Clan, Murs, Madvillian, The Roots, Dr Octagon, Brother Ali, Jedi Mind Tricks. I guess thats about it. I have others that I have like one random song from, but I cant think of them off the top of my head. Anyway, I didn't really know how to start off posting out of nowhere so I just listed hip hop artists I liked.

i like hip hop it jus is dat i think that like two years ago and beyond that it was better now it ok

Woooo! The new Roots single "Star" is hot. Quest layes down a beat that the JB's would sample. Black Thoughts rhymes speak volumes and his word play runs rampant. With this, and "Don't say nuthin", I'm sold on the whole album. This really might be their tipping point for me.
*runs to record store*

I love the new Roots song. It bring hip-hop to it essential state.

What is your fav. beat of all time? Mine is Shook Ones Pt. II

F U C K KMC. This site is really a piece if shit.

Woah, Doom. A bit cranky?

PKM> I could never pick one beat. I'll just give you fave beat genius's.

i dunno who that is

Hey hock? Have you picked up mm food yet? Is it worth me getting as a first hip-hop album?

i downloaded it....its good

but dont get it as a first album

what would be a good first album?
One to show 50 cent ppl that he really is crap.

Hockey recomended Immortal Technique Revolutionary Vol 2 to me which was the first great hip hop album i'd heard in ages. If you played 50 cent after that you wouldnt be able to stop laughing. Its hard to find good hip hop here in NZ, this forum has been a blessing. Jedi Mind Tricks and Blackalicious are two more groups that i've got into since visiting KMC. Any of these would be a great addition to your CD collection, good luck.
