Theres problems on both sides of the fence, Underground is nowhere near perfect, biggest being people trying to label it in all, all that does is limit gowth. Its like putting a roof on a house, you cant build it up anymore. i personally think that is the biggest problem in hip-hop as a whole... when everybody tries to label shit ie:undeground, backpackers, nerd rap, thugs, gangsta, crunk, snap rap, conscious rap etc. dosent do anything but limit growth.

I never considered Pac to be an intelligent MC, by any stretch. So I'd say the only way he could be seen as "nerd rap" (stupid label) is by people who just think he's intelligent.
