Well maybe you should just let them stay uninformed if they are that closed minded..

Yeah brett i am starting to get somewhat high hopes for Cuban Linx II, Wu Tang seems to be getting back to their old ways lately.. Quality albums from GZA, Ghostface and Meth within the past year, plus people on here have been saying the new Deck album is good too..

one of my good friends is sorta like that too, but he knows what sucks and what dosent, he listens to alot mainstream music, and watches BET alot, and ive tried to bring him to light, ive given him Chino XL and other artist that drop hot shit, but he still likes his stuff, hes not completely out of tune or closed minded cuz he went nuts when he heard Chino's lines and also likes Big L, Immortal Technique, Nas, and Tupac, but at the same time he will listen to TI, Jeezy, and yo gotti.

deck's album is pretty solid, but after a few more listens im actually a little hesitant to buy it. i dont know prolly cuz i like the old "rip mics to shreds" deck better. it seems like he changed his style on this album, but this is the first solo album i've heard by him, so i might be wrong.

p.s. Ludacris cut his hair.......why!?!

there are alot of misleading articls out there, with info that stems only from opinion or ignorance. I never really looked at rap as a genre, hip-hop started as hip-hop, rap is a verb, rappers rap over a beat, they dont hip-hop over them, although i guess nowawdays hip-hop seems to be more of a culture, and with constant labeling of the genre i could see how your friends could come to a conclusion like that even if they are wrong. If i were you i really wouldnt bother, ive tried to get people to listen decent hip-hop, and explain the difference between whats mainsteam and underground, whats wack and whats not, and basically clear up any ignorance of the genre, but it gets old and annoying, to the point where i just dont care.
Yeah, I agree with you. But what bugs me is that they do listen to artists such as Wu Tang and MF DOOM. And they do depise the mainstream

well, at least tell them not to label the genre, i dont front like i know hip-hop, but i do know that putting labels on it, dosent do anything but cause petty ignorance.

There were rumors his next album, Innervisions, was to be released under Denaun Porter's new Shady Records imprint Runyon Ave., but apparently the deal fell through; Monch has since announced a deal with Street Records Corporation, home of David Banner and Terror Squad. The album was scheduled to be released in late 2005 but has been pushed back to November 21, 2006. The new album is now going to be called Desire. Monch says about the album; "...it's very soulful, very gospel, a fresh, new sound for me."
