Harry might eventually learn to accept Snape as the horrible, but very human person he is, but I doubt Snape himself will ever change all that much in the way he treats Harry. This is a story primarily about Harry growing up and learning from his surroundings, but Snape's not that young anymore. He's learned to manage his insecurity by convincing himself everybody else is below him and to push them away by being very mean. This he's learned through series of humiliations in his childhood (or at least, that's my interpretation of the flashbacks we experience in Order of the Phoenix.) Don't think he'll be able to change that much. Think he might be a bit too proud to do so.
But then, if he turned out to be able to change, would he then be as interesting?

yeah style, like he doesnt care about what others think of him, and his way of being one of the coolest badasses I have ever seen... a little like wolverine... not much though
But I do think he cares about what other people think of him. Why else would he humiliate, let's say Gryffindors, in front of his own students, just to feel the pleasure of being popular in his own house? Besides, he take's everything very personal and holds grudges for ages. He wouldn't do that if he was capable of just shaking people's opinions off.
Wolverine?? I don't see the parallel, but rather like them both, so that's okay 😄
Severus Snape... must be? (a theory)
Who else loves Snape as much as I do?!?!? LOL... He's so evil, yet he's so cool. Heh.
I have a theory about Dumbledore's so-called "plan."
Remember in the 4th book (GOF) when Voldemort mentioned 6 death eaters missing that time when all the death eaters were supposed to gather around him (when he had just gotten his body back)... He said:
* 3 death eaters were dead, because of their loyalty to him
* 1 death eater who didn't come because he's a coward (Karkaroff)
* 1 death eater who Voldemort believes left his side forever (Snape)
* 1 death eater who brough Harry Potter to him, and is at Hogwarts (Barty Crouch Jr.)
Remember Voldemort said that the one who didn't come back "because he's a coward" is going to be punished (Karkaroff, he fled that night)...
Voldemort also said that the one he believes who had left his side forever "will surely OF COURSE die." (which is Snape because he's obviously in Dumbledore's side)
After that, Dumbledore asked Snape if he was "prepared," and Snape agreed right? So possibly, Snape went back to Voldemort to spy for Dumbledore... But Voldemort knows! And in the 5th book, Snape still stays a spy (I believe), that's what he's doing for the Order...
However, if Voldemort knows that Snape is the one "who had left his side forever," then doesn't that mean he should know that Snape is a spy of Dumbledore? So is it possible that he's using the Imperious Curse upon Snape to spy for Voldemort instead?
Hope you got what I'm getting at. ^_^;
I understand... but if he was under the Imperius Curse, then all those times Umbridge had asked him for Veritaserum for Harry and he didn't give the real thing, and then when he was on Harry's side, like when he contacted Grimauld Place to see if Sirius was there after harry had had the vision, and he (Snape) and the Order went after Harry in the Department Of Mysteries to save him...
Snape would not have been able to do all that if he had been under the Imperius Curse.
^^That make sense?
I have a feeling Snape might be the one to kill Karkaroff.
And i'm also sure that Voldemort doesn't know Snape is a spy, because DD would have thought of that wouldn't he? And Snape is slyer than he seems....
i guess we'll find out what Snape is REALLY up to in the next bk, because I doubt he'd have gone up to Voldy and just be like "Ok, I'm back on your side"...
^^you get what I mean? 😄
LOL... Exactly! =D I mean, if Snape is pretending to be back in Voldemort's side, shouldn't Voldemort be like "hmmm... wasn't he the one who betrayed me long before my downfall?" Voldemort can't trust him that easily! Maybe Voldy's playing at Snape! LOL. I dunno man... Snape seems so loyal to Dumbledore, that even though I doubt him because of the whole Imperius Curse issue, I still trust Snape completely. I just hope he won't get killed off by either side 'cuz I've grown to love him, evil or not ^_^
I wonder what Snape's really up to for the Order, if he isn't a spy? What did Dumbledore ask him to do? ~_^

Maybe he didn't just go to Voldy but he's still friends with many of the deatheaters so this means that they all think that he's still one of them.(on their side)
I was thinking just that, but then, if he was in close contact with some of the Death Eaters, then news of that would have definitely reached Voldy..... so it all comes back to the same thing.... does Voldemort suspect Snape? 😕
What i think is that Voldy doesn't know Snape's back on his side, i mean i have no idea how Snape would be a spy and getting info from Voldy's side then, but i'm just saying if Voldy DID know, then he would have suspected Snape from the first moment....
