"It is not so much that you speak for your houses, but that you know the land. I have called upon you to be commanders in whatever army you manage to raise..

"And besides that, the kings of your realms would not have come to any council of Elrond. They know all too well the things that do not go so well here, as much as I hate to admit it."

Tela listened carefully momentarily forgetting about the pain that surged through her shoulder. She nodded. "For those who have kings." she mumbled.

"Why must I be present father?" asked Arwen.

"The fate of our home stands in the balance, daughter. But... I will not keep you if you truly do not wish it.

"Young Tela of the Anuylen... You are wisened by these years of persecution. This is the reason for your presence here."

"I want to be here but everything is so new to me. The battle kind of things," she said as she ran her hand along the smooth surface of the table.

ummmmm just to let u know, Arwen is in no way new to battle. But hey, u can change it.

((I second that))

"I've beee in battle many years," said Arwen.

Tela nodded. True her persecution, torture, and even assination attempts have given her wisdom.

Arwen looked at Tela. "You've been in battle for a while and maybe too long."

"It is never to long to be in battle if your cause is just." Tela said with a slight smile. "although it is not always the solution. In this case it is."

"Yeah your right. I've fought many 'assorted' people and some that are so weird that it just doesn't make sense," she said as she looked at tela.

Tela too laughed. "Lady Arwen, as long as middle-earth is plagued with evil, there will always e confrontation. Between men, elves, and many other races. There is nothing we can do. Tis not predjudice that devides us but fear. Fear of not knowing who wecan trust and who we can't. This leads to misunderstandins which leads to wars and sometimes..." Tela paused for a second. She had a distant look in her eyes. "Complete annihilation."

"The world is divided among races but it will always in ways remain that way. Anyways did you ever met my father, Elrond, before and have yu met elves before?" she asked.

"I met your father, Lord Elrond, when I was injured defending my race. He healed me and you can say we swapped war stories, although as I said before his are always more interesting" Tela said.

Elrond chuckled.

"And the first time I met an elf outside the Anuylen race was Haldir of Lothlorien. Trust me, having an arrow stuck to my skull was hardly fun, but I understand the precautions."

THere was a bark of laughter from Elrond. "And I doubt it was precaution enough for the lady." he commented smiling smugly.

Tela laughed. "Tis not my fault she's too uptight to enjot Anuylen hospitality.

"Too uptight?" asked Arwen as she burst in laughter.

Tela nodded. "Lets just say I have the heart of a warior and the mind of a six year old."

((you people can contribute to the Elrond's little speech if you want, in fact it'd be helpful if I wasn't the only one here making crazy shit about Witch-Kings and Elf Havens up 😉 ))

(((I was hoping to make things a little more tense)))

((yeah that's cool I was just letting people know that I don't have a monopoly on Elrond or nothin 😛 ))
