Dagaron sat in a chair, quietly watching the mens eyes shift from him to Tela, and back to him. He kept each of their gazes, showing he wasn't scared. They obviously didn't know of Tela's background, nor his own. They realized Elrond was not pleased though, and resulted to either watching him, or stareing at the ground.
Elrond looked around the circle, looking at each member of the assembled council in turn. When order was somewhat restored, he continued.
"As I was saying, the time of the elves has come, and gone. (picture the music from the beginning of FOTR playing here 😉 ) We have no longer the resources to protect our own land. With this new threat comes a call to duty for all Middle-Earth. One that few will have the cares, or indeed the means, to answer. Gathered here is at least one representative from every kingdom in Middle-Earth. Who will fight to save the elf-havens? Who will honor the long-past allegiance between men and elves?"
((I got an idea... Y'all (except Tela, obviously) c'd've come with another person from y'alls homelands... That was the way it was in FOTR...))
((lol....hmm.... Well, seeing as I am a Dunadain, and seen alot of battle, Elrond could want me for a commander. Same for u and Tela. Elrond knows where everyone is, so he could have just sent for us so us three could end up as the three leaders in one place. And he tells us that seperatly, b.c he doesn't want to cause controversy. That could be what he told Tela back on the path. Just an idea))
With each man that stood, a new doubt slowly formed in Dagarons mind. These men were prideful. He only hoped they could fight as well as they bragged. Many of them had traded war stories before the meeting, quoting the number of kills they had in each battle. Dagaron could see a few here that looked like men who could fight, and do it well, but there were some he wondered about. He looked to see that Tela appeared to be sizing them up as well. He wished he could see what she thought. She was the most experianced one here. If he wanted anyone on his side, it was her.
