Basic knowledge

Each side receives basic knowledge of the other. A good measure of this would be what the general population of the character's homeworld knows. For example, that Superman has a weakness to Kryptonite is general knowledge, but that he's Clark Kent is not.

That doesn't prove that he knows kryptonite inside-out-- unless his cosmic awareness can figure it out-- but according to forum rules, he knows that Superman has the weakness.

He wouldn't make Kryptonite(TM). He would make a form of radiaton that hurts Supes. It would have the same properties and energy wavelength as Kryptonite.

Regardless, he definitely doesn't need Kryptonite to win.

If that is the case, then what's to stop Surfer from transmuting everything around Superman into that radiation? That's cheap, but if he can do that, then he's definitely going to win this, right?

its like batman fighting and blinding someone. he can do it, but its not something he does normally.

it is dude. weilding radiations is his thing. just like he told Gladiator, be still cuz i know there are certain radiations you have a prob with. so his cosimc might will play itno it cuz no doubt his pseudo kryptonite, faux red solar energy blast will both have intense heat, and ultra destructive concussive force...he would probably rend supes molecules asunder
