This is virtually impossible to decide. Superman and Surfer both have super toughness skn wise. They both have equal super strength, they both can fly at warp speeds, they both are equal in fighting experience, and skills. I personally wouldnt say Silver surfer, or Superman... there is just no evidence to back up these guys fighting each other.

no the surfer's powers are'nt endless or at least they should'nt be' you see people used to complain that superman and other dc charecters power levels were too far over the top even for fantasy comics, but after the crisis series in the 80's dc bought down superman and their other heroes power levels down to a believable level while marvel has now taken the oppurtunity to make SS and many of their charecters off the chain powerful, i remember back in the day spider-man knocked the surfer on his backside and the thing knocked him cold with a single punch in ss first appearance, now ss is portrayed as being as powerful( potentially ) as galactus himself. marvel really has turned me off with this, leaving the charecters as they were SS is not much of a match for superman.
