Hey, free will and all that shit. But I think it is pathetic to get a boob job or a nose job.

Why is it pathetic?

because you should accept what god gave you.

If a nosejob or a boobjob boosts someone's self-esteem, I don't see the big deal.

that makes them fake. that makes them posers.

That's what you think, so fine. But to say others are doing something wrong, because you yourself would not do it, is complete idiocy. Actually it merges well with your feelings on abortion, basically a load of rubbish. Also what's all this about god? Divinity now comes into this argument, is that the depths you've sank to?

And God gave people the money and the opportunity to go have plastic surgery... So we should just accept it.

hey, thats just my personal beliefs on it, and since I believe in god, it's relevant to me. I am not pushing christianity here.

and what the hell does my views on abortion have to do with plastic surgery? all I said is that people should accept what is given them, to play the hand they are dealt. me saying "accept what god gave you" is just a way of getting my point across. If I said "accept what Buddha gave you", would you take offense to that? if I said "accept what allah gave you", and you were a muslim, would you take offense to that?

I never said it was wrong, just that it is indcredibly vain.

hey, its up to the person in question. all I am saying is that it is vain. thats all.

Im not against someone having plastic surgery though Im not interested in having any myself.

By your reasoning, people who are born with a cleft lip and palate should not seek cosmetic surgery to correct their appearance, because they "should accept what God gave [them]."

Lol reasoning.

Exactly, skin grafts etc also fall into this category, also i doubt every boob job and such is about vanity, more likely low self esteem and i dont see anything wrong with a self esteem boost.

It won't do much for them in the long run. That's why many people get several surgeries because once they stop obsessing over their rack or their nose they find something else wrong.

So speaks the voice of experience. Were you happier after your boob job boob?

If it helps them feel better I say go for it.

Who are we to tell people what to do in the long run? It's their body, they should be able to do what the hell they like with it.

and I agree, but I am still of the opinion that it is vain.

I'm not saying plastic surgery should be outlawed but I do think someone who has had surgery that is not reconstructive comes across as shallow.

I'm sure to them, you'd come across as presumptuous.

Ok well that's fine that is just my opinion. I think it's kind of sad that you can't be happy unless you have two jelly filled implants in your chest.
