Well it's about insecurity, isn't it? If you hate the way you look and it disgusts you etc. I see nothing wrong with it, if it makes people happy, I don't care.

IMO, the epitome of vanity would be a refusal to improve ones looks on the assumption that one is already perfect.

I don't think it's really valid to make such a blanket statement. It could be the epitome of a lot of things; the result of self loathing etc. In some cases, yes vanity plays a big part maybe even most. But who cares? If being vain is what makes these people happy, I'm not going to tut and shake my head, they're not hurting anyone.

But people who don't get surgery don't necessarily believe they are already perfect, they just believe that their imperfections are not worth thousands of dollars to erase. It's ridiculous to get plastic surgery for completely vain reasons IMO. It speaks to a problem on the inside of a person.

in my own opinion, i'm not really in favor with plastic surgery but i still respect others opinion about it.. Yeah, all of us are free to do whatever we want to do as long as we don't hurt anyone..If they think plastic surgery would be the answer, go on.why not..
