Whatever...its just dumb.
Obviously not a true fan of 24.
I don't think the show has "jumped the shark", but simply trying to explore new avenues of conspiracy. We have not had a President that was blatenly working against its own Government and more specifically Jack Bauer.
I will admit though that his Season is a little less action packed as previous ones, but the fact that so many have died and that CTU has now been absorbed by Homeland Security are things that I didn't see coming at all.
see this is whats wrong with people. the plot twist regarding logan has not even been explained yet and they are saying 24 HAS JUMPED THE SHARK... what makes you come to that conclusion eh? they have 8 episodes to explain logan's motives.. for all we know he could be in this with another country trying to set things straight. and btw the writers clearly know which direction to go in, this is an early hint on logan-henderson connection.there is clearly a reason why the writers are making logan behind a conspiracy
I've been a huge 24 fan, and own all the previous seasons on DVD.
This current season has the biggest departure from the show's method and is quickly becoming a parody of itself. I think they are asking way too much of the audience on this one.
So if anyone doesn't think I'm a 'true fan' they can lick my balls. I think the writing in this season has not been up to par, especially with the last season to compare to...but I refuse to lap up every piece of sh!te they feed me.
I've been saying it jumped the shark for the last few episodes...and unless it improves, that will certainly ring true.
Sure it has eight episodes to redeem itself, but it needs to start.
Y'know...I've been rewatching SEASON FOUR, and I just got to the last few episodes...when President Logan took office.
If they play tonight's episode right, and tie in Logan's involvment to SEASON FOUR, essentially making this season a continuation of some unfulfilled plot that was stopped last year, the show could redeem itself.
Both Logan and Cummings are obviously questionable at the end of SEASON FOUR now. It's interesting.

Uh...
Tonight's episode wasn't bad, and actually went a long way to redeeming the past few hours of the show. It just seems like the President is still a nitwit...which may work. It would have been better if he had been behind the plot to kill Keeler in last season, but we'll have to see.
The previews for next week look even better, but with this evidence, all Jack or anyone has to do is play it to anyone and they should be on his side and help him. I'll be interested to see what the next 'twist' will be in another two hours or so. We still have seven left to go.
...and three more days after that. C'mon writers...take your meds and step it up a bit.
