I'm not liking any of the new characters except for Hassan. I mean, I like that Cole isn't a complete moron but that's being generous. And please put an end to the Dana//Jenny storyline. It's like a rehash of Samwise Gamgee's storyline but with a super-tense Starbuck.
Overall, the premiere was pretty lackluster and predictable. That being said, the highlight was definitely Jack using the ax. Oh, and I agree with Darth Vicious. Renee is beyond hot && awesome!
For me theres no thrills, no suspense, no guessing really, nothing so far that was like the other seasons. All the twist are given out very fast. I agree about the lackluster part. The best parts are Jack and his family, Danas story keeps me guessing and RENEE. I love her character and how shes developed. Best character other than Jack and maybe/prob better than Tony even. She and Jack are the two best current characters.
Yup, agree with the general consensus around here.
I'm growing tired of Dana already. It's not that the same thing has happened before, it's how stupid Dana is going about it. I thought people had to be smart to get those job positions?

- Jack (Obviously)
- Kim (Not bitching abt his Dad's job, nice redemption)
- Teri (how can you not?)
- Hassan
- Chloe
- David Anders (Just cause!)
Unclear:
- Freddie (He seems to listen to Jack, but doesn't seem very pro, but not sure yet)
- President Taylor (Wait and see how he treats Jack)
- Noob Tech Guy that didn't know who Jack was (getting abit annoying, but we shall see)
- Renee Walker (haven't seen enough to make a call)
Dislike:
- Dana Walsh (stupid)
- Hastings (Douchebag)

Maybe that's the point of Freddie's character? Maybe to showcase that CTU is run more like a business and not a spy shop?
I don't mind his character right now. I think it fits in nicely with the new CTU.

Yea I get that idea but to me that describes Curtis Manning from season 4-6. He was much more by the book "business" like kinda guy. But he was also believable in the part. But when I watch Freddy I feel like he is fresh out of some sort of police academy and not a Director of Field Operations. Hopefully he will grow on me.

Excellent example! My thoughts after watching the 2 nights was that hes no Curtis. Hopefully he'll change bit by the end of the day.

Kim has not spent nearly as much time actually on the show. Some of these people may be alive still but were not always around. Most of those people dont even come close to being around as much or as long as Chloe.
Chloe has been fully involved in every "Day" from Day 3 on. (126 episodes so far)
Tony had 115 episodes, Kim 79, Palmer 79, Bill 64 and just keeps going down from there.

Don't get me wrong it is not so much the character I do not like as much as I think it is Freddy. So far for me he is just not believable in the role he is trying to play.
