It was just bad. Like they thought it would be cool for the chick to stab him in the eye, and then fake stab him to death and then stab jack, who then rips it out his body and then throws it in the guys throat.....it was just dumb. I was laughing.

haha man its funny I had the exact same feeling. When this episode was winding down I was thinking damn 24 sure has turned into shit. The knife throw to a guy he could not even see was retarded, and I swear I had the exact same though about the football coach lol.

You guys are stupid.

Jack Bauer rules all.

Too bad he can not rule the writers of the show.

Or the acting.

Is it me? Or does Sutherland look like a squirrel now?

What's worst is the Middle Eastern president trying to act all mean and stuff, and can't pull it off.

Or how the Russians have nuclear material in the States when it would of been easier to sell it in the guy's own country then carting it off the States....

wow I never even thought of that. But yea if some random middle east country wanted to buy nuclear rods from some Russians.. why the hell would they smuggle them into the USA then smuggle them back out to take them home lol. Especially when they want them just to have nuclear arms, and not to attack the states.

The president dude is lame as well. This is sadly shaping up to be a new all time worst season. I am just waiting for Kim's flight to get high jacked now.

Who cares about the plot, Jack Mother ****ing Bauer is killing Russians.

The only thing I don't like about the new season is that all ~40 mins isn't dedicated to Jack killing people.

Hahaha....

I thought they were going to use it in the the States?

I'm confused. I don't understand the writers. Maybe, Sutherland and co. want them to write the same season. 24 could easily be done differently, edgy and great. No, they have to film the exact same way all the time.

It's alright when Lost does it because the writing is much better. So is the acting. But 24 is soo generic that I don't think I can keep on going.

Why does the show have to be in 24 hours? Or have to do with terrorists, or fighting against the clock. Wouldn't it be great to have the season be 24 days? Or 24 weeks? Or 24 months? Maybe, the States attack back and 24 takes place in a war, where Jack is CIA agent or something like that. Or what what about something less crazy like him going against a crime lord, or the mafia?

I got a great story. Has anybody read Without Remorse by Tom Clancy? It's a character in the series where he plays a cleaner for the CIA and its about him going against a prostitution ring because the person he loved was murdered by them. It has nothing to do with bombs, nerve agents or assassinations. It would of been great.

Or base the season in a different country? Wow, something different.

How about a prequel? I know it wouldn't make sense considering Sutherland is old, but considering Jack is around 50-60 something, he can pull off a 35 year old special ops guy.

Just something different. That's all I'm asking. And kill off everybody....everybody....

But one thing they shouldn't do...is making the situations crazier by the day. The first season was soo good because it wasn't insane. It was intense and believable (slightly).

But seriously, a ex FBI agent, who doesn't look Russian but somehow become buddy buddies with Russians, who doesn't know who Jack is (who doesnt!!) and then goes back into cover after most of them went to jail, cut off a guys thumb, and then had rape sex with the other guy and then cried, and then stab him in the eye, and then stabbed Jack, and then Jack threw the knife in the throat and killed somebody through corregated steal. And then got taken away underneath the ground without being seen, even though Jack saw them outside talking, but somehow the CTU agents who had the place surrounded didn't see them.....yeah...thats after a key employee is using her cellphone (im pretty sure important place like that wont allow workers personal cell phones inside the building) gets her ex con boyfriend to steal drugs. And without anybody noticing........and lastly, no way in hell her past life doesn't get picked up in the uber hardcore security check she would have to go through.

Oh and I forgot. No way in hell the President doesn't know that the Middle Eastern president was having an affair and killing people in his country back home. Also, no way in hell that every other country doesn't know about this.

Point is that we've seen Jack kill bajillion amount of people already.

And that the acting is horrendous and they're stuck 7 seasons ago with how the show is done.

The acting seems the same for me from every other season, I think the fact the new people have been added in detracts from the story. Having to deal with fail characters and subplots also doesn't help, but it's only 7 eps in to a 24 ep season, it will probably get better.

Jack kills Smasandian in his house sometime this week for bad mouthing his show.

I think it's too late.

I'm really bored when I watch it and I don't have the same, "this plot sucks but I want to see what happens in the end for the rest of the season".

I just get, "Man, what episode is this? I wonder when in the season Jack Bauer goes undercover, or against the grain and is considered a fugitive like every other season."

I just wish they would come up with a new threat other than nukes or some bio weapon.

Yeah, or maybe not even a threat.

I like my idea of war, or going against a crime family that has nothing to do with some threat.

I don't think nukes will ever come into play this season since it's already been done...

Well, it was done in season 2 and again in season 6.

Yea, thats why I don't think they will do it again. They should be smarter than that. Going by the usual structure, this initial crisis should be over by around episode 12, then there will be a new threat.

If I make one prediction is that Hastings will be gone by the end of the season. Its obvious the writers didn't want the audience to like him.

tonight's ep pretty much was good..

dana's story really is no different than any other subplot 24 has had...

anil kapoor has been surprisingly good which at first i did not know what to think when i first heard when he joined the cast

Hm so far I really like Sergei. He seems very experienced, cautious and isn't greedy or easy to bait into a trap - a worth adversary. I reckon his downfall will be due more to circumstances than any fault of his own. It's weird but I think I will miss him.
