Hm so far I really like Sergei. He seems very experienced, cautious and isn't greedy or easy to bait into a trap - a worth adversary. I reckon his downfall will be due more to circumstances than any fault of his own. It's weird but I think I will miss him.

yeah, i agree..

what do you think of david anders?

Anders part could of been played by any random actor to this point. It looks like they are going to actually give him a more meaningful roll going forward though which I like.

I liked David Anders ever since Alias. He has always played the "pro" even in Heroes.

Right now I don't know what to think about him in 24, don't think I've seen enough to make a call.

After Sergei killed his brother, I just knew Anders would turn on his father later in the series. But then in the previous episode when he took his father's side and pulled a gun on the President's brother, that caught me off guard and I thought I was wrong - until the end of that episode lol.

So, how about them nukes.

At the very least, the story is gaining some traction.

I like the story

Yes, it's just a shame 9 episodes were wasted on the Dana storyline.

i've come to expect that when a character is a waste

Okay, it's on!

I like making hard calls, and I'm going to kinda stick with what I said earlier, however I'll add/change it to say that the real threat of a nuclear detonation will never come to be.

But remember this, even if you win, its not much of a victory because you are already in a much better position and the odds are heavily tipped in your favor due to how the story started and has unfolded.

If I am right however, I will go down in the history books where your kids will read about me.

Is it me or that CTU agent seems way to young to be an agent? Most of the agents we've seen through the years seemed to be battle tested. This kid seems to be just straight out of the academy.

Maybe if Cole wasn't busy taking care of his fiance's exes, we wouldn't have to worry about pint-sized agents.

I actually thought last night's episode was decent. CTU is finally listening to Jack.

pretty good last night...

Seems thats another one of the bad changes made to CTU. Ortiz doesn't look that old either (Freddie is 33 yrs old), but then again, neither was Mike Doyle or Chase Edmunds.

Well the only reason is because Hastings knows he is incompetent and he needs Jack's help for the moment. I wouldn't consider him an ally just yet.

On another note, I have a hunch Ortiz's secret will come up later, and there might be a confrontation between him and Jack. That would be awesome considering Ortiz showed some respect for Jack at the start.

24 sucks. All it does is blindly insult minorities and promote torture.

Not surprised to hear this from someone with your username.

Stfu, I made it as a joke and then forgot to change it. I'm tired of people like you raining on everyone's parade.

It's just that I feel that the stakes aren't high enough. We've already seen a nuke detonated in an American city, Jack's been tortured 17 ways from Sunday, etc. I wouldn't mind so much if they at least made an effort to write interesting characters. This season has too many "let's stretch out the story to 24 hours" moments (see: Jack getting tortured by the cops, Jack getting tortured by Sergei, Marcos conveniently locking himself in pressure chamber).

Hmm I get what you mean. The need to be more creative and come up with a new threat. But at least its different... imagine if Kim got into shit again.

Unrelated, but one other thing that bothers me about 24 is their use of the stupid "Zoom in on that" when looking at surveillance material and somehow they can turn super low resolution pictures into clear images. 24 should be above this sort of crap.
