Pai Mei was probably the most vivid and memorable parts of the entire movie. He was great. I loved the constant referencing to all those Japanese kung-fu movies, like all the funny cuts and panning, like in the old Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies, that was great.

I loved the bits with The Bride and Pai Mei going through the motions of the training side by side, in silhouette form, along with that music, that was brilliant.

Thats what I loved. Kill Bill was Tarantino's take on Japanese kung fu movies, and he didnt fail to keep at least one element of that by getting Pai Mai character in there.

I don't know, that's weird. But I would like to say, as funny as Pai Mai was, when the audience laughs uncontrollably every time he strokes his beard, it is just plain annoying, I had the most ridiculous audience, they thought he was TOO funny...
