First. It never states how far away Wolverine is from the soldiers. Not that that matters anyway.
Second. Wolverine is not faster than thought. And especially not faster than the time it takes for a light-speed optic blast to blast him in the face.
10 feet and beyond, this is Cyke's match everytime.

Sorry but I cannot remember who on the forum made this. The skeleton belongs to Mr. Sinister and one image is from the Ultimate Universe
However, I think this should show the problem Wolverine is dealing with in this fight. He is basically fighting a guy with a WMD in his head and I would assume that start out facing each other. So the question becomes can Wolverine close the distance between them before Cyke can think "Open". I would tend to think not. Add the fact that Cyke is very well aware of Wolverine's speed (and therefore wouldn't be caught off guard by it) and his weird "spacial awareness" ability and you have a difficult situation for Wolverine to realistically win in, imo.

I and others have posted several showing has and does get hit by Scott's blasts. And the blast Wolverine dodged was tiny compared to the ones Scott is capable of producing.

the one on the window cill is not good evidence since wolverine talkign to scot and he about a foot away and I highly doubt he though scot would right out attack him.
the other pic ur refearing to the one by the river ya to abd the perosn who posted it forgot to psot the whole fight. first off sauren is controling wolverine second off wolevrien is drop by saurn from about 20 feet up, wolverine was a sitting target so scot hitting him then is not impressive sicne wolverine was a) mind controled and B) dropped from the air.
the only other are when wolverine was death and he walked right through scots blast and KO scot with a single punch if im not mistaken.
