I apologise if I offend with this poem - it isn't meant to. I had just had a really bad experience when reading through forums.catholic and I found what the majority of people were saying horrifying.

Jesus was a God
Or so I have been told
By the true believers
Those who deserve the world

You’re not allowed to think

Christianity dictates,
You’re kept in line by fear.

But if you could you’d see,
What I have always seen.
Watching with my eyes
Not through a TV screen.

And if you could you’d know,
What I have always known.
Your lives are all controlled
Not as free as they’re shown

And yes, there is a trinity.
But it’s not a holy search.
One people, one government
One everlasting church.

There’s no separation of church
Nor state. It’s impossible
The church rules the people,
To make its coffers full.

It dictates the votes
And so politicians must pray
To show their devotion and faith
They have to swing the church’s way.

So brush away the film
That is in your eye.
Look clearly, think individually,
See the truth behind the lie.

You’ve only got till death,
For some heaven is reward.
For others it’s the end –
Love Jesus Christ the lord.

Or you’ll be told off all too soon,
By an ever-present spirit.
Show them you’re not scared,
Tell them you don’t fear it.

And so I say ‘fini’,
My message is at the end,
Take my meaning in,
Treat it as a friend.

Excellent, never be afraid of your personal opinion. The world is filled with individuals.

My one wish for christmas

I only have one wish for christmas
and its to be with you,
i don't care about the presents,
i just want my wish to come true.
you really mean the world to me
and i really want us to be together,
you holding me in your arms,
keeping me warm from this cold weather.
christmas is a time to be with your loved ones,
the people that you love tones.
i can't talk you by phone
i still feel so alone.
without your touch,
i'll miss you so much.

I sit here and try to blank you out
that cute smile, the way you're hair falls
the way girls long on your every word
And her the love of your life!

I know that i can never be her,
and deep down I know
you'll never feel for me the way you feel for her!
So i bow my head and walk away

No-one knows the secret of my heart
that it beats just for you
so in the dark, i weep
for the love i can never have
and the secret that haunts me

so i say goodbye to love...and goodbye to you

that I've been bad
and I'm getting coal
for the fun I had

I explained to him
that I'm far from perfect
and the mischief I made
was awesomely worth it

He said there's no presents
for naughty ones
and what I've done
was hardly fun

my other turtle dove

how St. Nick missed me

and went downstairs

One Thing

There is only one thing
that stands between friends
It's not what you said
and it's not where you've been

It holds us down
and mixes us up
While favoring fate
and looking to luck

It saddens me so
and weighs on my heart
that feelings of love
are so far apart

And we're stuck in the rain
exposed with no cover
what stands between friends
is, unfortunately, each other

wow, everybody's poems are really good, alot of talented ppl here 😄 Anyways, I wasnt gonna post some of my poems mainly I think theyre really bad and make no sense, but seeing alot of ppl's poems for some reason makes me wanna do it too. well heres my first one ill put,try not to laugh 🙁

Shifted

My body is like a cold silk blanket
that covers the warmth of my soul
whose purity is fading day by day
and starting to lose control.
I stare outside my window
raindroplets pour down and reflect on my face
dark days are glooming in the sky
as the wind leaves its presence and grace.
I wish to touch my soul
and feel it's illuminacy
and become one with it's wounds and scars,
but instead I sit here
waiting for the day to end
and to sleep among the stars...

This one I dedicated to Angel when I was obssesed with the show. 🙄 I wrote it after the final episode ended.

For the time being,
The only thing keeping me sane is my soul;
And if it's removed I'll go out of control
And all my wishes will be fulfilled cause I'd have no feeling of what's right and what's wrong,
But I have to be strong and not let my greed
Succumb to what I need, for at the pit of my soul,
At the beginning of the root is a seed;
Where all is stored from my good deeds which seem not to matter anymore to this new breed,
This new kind of pain,
Where I feel no shame;
only a craving
Not to reach pleasure in pain,
Not to reach fame,
Not to be part of the game
But to make history;
To send a chill down to every man, woman's and child's spine with just the sound of my name
For it consists of so much potential and gain
So much power and critique,
That it and I can never become weak.

now that youve found someone else
how do I blend in with humanity
for I see no regret in your eyes
and I see no pain
is what we had not good enough
to make you not board that train
youve left me with no desire
to seek another prey
for your love was what i needed
to get me through the day
and now that your finally gone
your presence left untouched

wondering how I could lose so much
