If you'll read back into the thread, you'll notice that I never once called LP gay 😊 I did say that they sucked though, which they do.
As for the whole "omg theyve bin aroudn since 1997!!!!@" thing... Korn has been around since the early nineties, I believe. Tool has been around since 1990. Metallica has been around for longer, I can't remember when they were formed, but it was longer than that... Even the Offspring have been here since the early '90's.

1:yeah so what if im always my computer...big deal....i take jujitsu and i could probably kick all their asses...besides id much rather stay home than go run around like a dumbass and at the end have a little locker room sodomy
2: Pig armies?....okay....i have no idea where you got that from or what you are referring to...please specify what the hell your talking about...
3: no ive never had an "internet girlfriend"...do they even have computers in India? besides even if i were to talk to them we wouldnt understand each other...and why the hell would anyone want a internet boyfriend/girlfriend? those are absolutely pointless....

I explained it to him, saying that it WASN'T about an army of pigs marching towards the guy's house, it was just about how he's pissed because he can't say whatever he wants to on the radio. So then Goku came and made this thread, saying that the song WAS about an army of pigs marching towards his house... Some people are just plain dumb.

There's a thread around here somewhere in which I explained that... But I'll say it again since you don't seem to have the ability to figure it out for yourself. Zack is talking about how he's mad about not being able to say whatever he wants on the radio. The "army of pigs" is a metaphor for the US govt, specifically the FCC, who are silencing his style by not letting him say what he wants to on the radio. The "off 'em all out that box it's my radio dial" part is basically telling the FCC to get their filthy pig-hooves (har har) off his radio dial. 😖mart:

im not saying rage's music sucks its just that i like linkin park more than them. i think you are just being to close-minded darth. just try to like lp when listening to one of their songs instead of just saying, o they suck rage against the machine and tool are better bands.your just completely missing the point. and i did get the metaphor, i was saying that the lyrics sound dumb and pointless when you compare the government to pig armies. besides the fcc covers tv and cable not the radio.
I always try to be open-minded, in fact I've been told it's one of my best qualities. I used to like LP, which is why I own Meteora, until I stopped and actually started listening to talented bands... Then I realized how lame LP seemed next to great musicians like Maynard J Keenan, Korn, and SOAD. There is simply no comparison between one of Keenan's songs, from either of his bands, and LP. Keenan is MILES ahead of Chester Bennington, both lyrically and musically. Go read the lyrics to "Eulogy", and compare them to "Breaking the Habit" and hopefully you will see what I mean. Keenan is a poet, Bennington is a 30-year old man who sings about relationship problems he's probably never even experienced. Christ, Jon Davis is a better lyricist than Bennington.
Also, when I listen to music, I don't try to like it. I don't try to not like it either. I evaluate it and think to myself, "is this album worth my eighteen bucks".
RATM's lyrics aren't dumb and pointless. About the pig army lyrics.... It's a commie thing 😉
aight Revan...i get wut ur sayin too...i got into a lot more hardcore stuff after i fell in love w/LP...but i still like to listen to their music...cuz some of it is really good...at least to me...but i dont focus on one type of music or one style of signing...LP is just one part of my huge love of music...and since i never really was interested in music much before i heard "one step closer" i guess i owe them a lot credit to my music love.
I don't ONLY listen to RATM and Tool... I have pretty broad tastes in music. I like everything from metal to hip hop to blues to classical. LP are just too.... poppy for my taste. And actually, I have to give LP credit just like you, because I probably would never have gotten into rock if it weren't for them.
i never said that chester bennington was the greatest lyricist ever. i said he was good. personally the best lyricist is probably chris envy of showoff. besides i listen to ratm and tool just like you. when did you get into rock? you said they brought you into it, they released their first single in 2000. ive liked rock since like '96.
