She sat down cross legged. his story was a familiar one. She never did talk about her past, or her feelings. War and intense combat training had hardened her to the point where she didnt have the need to open up and tell people about herself. Not many people knew what the spartans had indured to get to be the incredible soldiers they were. She sighed and looked at the marine. "So was my family. Everyone of my brothers and sisters were slaughtered, and i watched. I watched and could do nothing but move ahead with the idea that someday they would pay for the blood spilled. Im the last one left of my family, and it wasn't suposed to be this way." she stared off into the sky and at the bright stars over head. She wasn't talking about a normal family. She barely remembered them at all. They had surely been glassed from their planet like most others though. But her real family had all been killed in the last days on planet Reach, and being solo may have been easy for her, but she sure didnt like it.

I'm sorry to hear that..I was training with a few buddies, and when I came home, it was in flames..Covenant Elites were roaming around for survivors, and I saw my family's bones..in a fire pit..

*Suddenly Spartan-117, aka, Master Chief walked up. Dennis got up surprised* Master Chief sir! *he saluted. Master Chief nodded* At ease, soldier..Listen, Dennis, could I talk with you, in private? *Dennis nodded* Sure...

Raevynn stood at attention in the presence of 117. He was just like her in many ways. The last of the spartanII project, he was just as alone as she was. She was a part of the SpartanIII project, and they were all wiped out except for her

[ok..I think this actually should be in Halo 2..so after we killed those covenant, say it's..Halo 2..and we're on Earth]

*The Chief and Dennis walked to the edge of the cliff, and the Chief spoke* Dennis, it's been awhile my friend..The covenant will be coming any minute now..You have a good friend..Spartan-116..good soldier..also..I have something I want to ask you..I want you to lead the whole marine force into battle, wether on ground, or in space..Take my Mark V suit..*Dennis's eyes widened* But sir, I need to be a Spartan..*Chief sook his head* I think you already were..see, you dont know it yet, Marine, but your dad WAS a Spartan..he recruited you when You were little, and never told you when you were older..especially before he died..Dennis, your Spartan-115..

The Chief walked off with Dennis in another direction. Once he was out of sight, she relaxed again. She was still a little sore from battle.

*Dennis's eyes widened, and he backed up in shock* That..that can't be..*Chief nodded* Yes..here..*he handed him his Mark V suit* Take it *Dennis took it, and put it on. Chief smiled* Just like the good old days..go show her..*Dennis walked back, and stood beside Raevynn staring down at her through the suit* Get some rest..

Raevynn nearly leapt to her feet. "What the-? Where did you...?" She stared at him in confusion.

"In charge?" Raevynn shook off the confusion. "Yes, sir!" she snapped a salute at the chief. The marine now outranked her apparently. This was very new to her. She had always been the highest ranking spartan asides from the chief.
